When I had my NJ id renewed, mo eyeglasses allowed in photo and no smiling is permitted anymore. "Facial recognition software" the reason?

At age 53 a woman should be beyond vanity on her driver’s license. Jeesh!

Should have played the Muzzie card and worn a Hijab. Problem solved

When I renewed last time they asked me if I wanted to use the old photo - I said “might as well, it doesn’t get any better with age” - they laughed and off I went....

Grew my hair, shaved it grew a beard.
If the pic adds no cost who cares?
Hell they have my fingerprints.

NJ DMV is the worst......they issued a duplicate drivers license of mine months before it's expiration to someone who lives 60 miles north of me by using just my Social Security number. When it came time to renew my real license, it took me three trips to Eatontown and two to Trenton before it finally got resolved. I needed to have all six points of ID, bringing my passport and US military photo retiree card plus proof of address and insurance on my truck.
They had the address of the guy they gave the license to but it was up to me to prove my identity with the multiple trips between offices rather than going to the other address and arrest the SOB.
The people working at both locations are the perfect definition of "useless bureaucrat" and none of them gave a damn till I asked to see the highest ranking person on site in Trenton and finally got some traction and a new license.
Our tax dollars at work.....

She can keep this license until she's feeling better, then conveniently "lose" it in a year or so (sooner if she's feeling better.) Then she goes in to obtain a replacement for the "lost" license, complete with a new picture. Problem solved.
It's not hard to outwit the bureaucracy. You just gotta think "outside the box" a bit.

What’s the big deal? Her looks changed significantly since the last license photo. The idea of the license is to show the operator is who they claim to be.

Medicare and most insurance companies will pay for a decent wig, and you can get a nice makeover with makeup at most department stores.
So what is the problem?
KACHING! attention getting behavior from a SJW who needs something to do.

A government-issued ID photo is supposed to look like the bearer, which is often unflattering regardless of health. There are important things to fuss about; this is not one of them.

The last 2 times I renewed mine, they kept the old photo. I really don't look a lot like the photo. I lost 30 pounds, grew a Van Dyke and my hair is gray now.
If they're demanding new photos, DMV must be swimming in money. Maybe now they can afford to stop issuing paper boat registrations and go back to plasticized documents?
(With so many NJ posters here, how can it be that the state is a liberal Hell on Earth with the only redeeming qualities being the pizza, tomatoes and beaches?)
