An Internet address originating from the Department of Homeland Security was tied to entries made on the Wikipedia pages of North Carolina Rep. Renee Ellmers and California Rep. Kevin McCarthy, alleging that the two Republicans were having an affair.
It is unclear if someone at the federal agency actually was behind the edits, which were first noted by Washington Free Beacon reporter Lachlan Markay. But both changes McCarthys and Ellmers show that a user at the IP address, 216.81.81.85, made them on Thursday.
That address comes from DHS offices in Springfield, Va.
An alleged affair between McCarthy, the House Majority Leader, and Ellmers, became the source of intense speculation on Thursday after McCarthy announced in a closed-door meeting that he was dropping out of the race to replace John Boehner as Speaker of the House.

DHS did it only because the IRS was busy.
Why would they? McCarthy is no different than Boehner.

Someone at DHS NEEDS TO BE FIRED. Of course, it won’t happen. At most, the offender will be put on paid administrative leave (AKA extra paid vacation) for a period.
I think some are concerned about committee assignments and the political and (illegal) benefits that are derived from them.
DH”S” imports incurable diseases,
ignores warnings of both the Oregon and Boston murderer,
and takes a ‘break’ to interfere with American politics.
All this is obviously on orders of the
First Moslem pRes_ _ent from Indonesia and
his still lying, still submissive, still complicit GOP.
The Secret Service is busy too.
Wasn’t there some kind of a cease and desist order regarding the “affair” a couple of days ago? I think it was against GotNews and Chuck Johnson. I wonder if the edits were part of that.
Seeing as the bureaucrat’s targets were GOPe, I have no problem with it.
Open your eyes wider....
RICO
Ding, ding, ding! We have a winner!
It was someone much closer to home...a Republican, maybe?
Hey, it’s ONLY about sex and has nothing to do with how well he does his job...or it’s a left wing conspiracy..../s
and the hits just keep on comin’!
#2 with a bullet! It has a good beat and easy to dance to.
Who works at the DHS. The IP address is located at the DHS. But yes, it could be a republican.
However, while the changes to McCarthy's Wikipedia page has been reverted, the difference history remains.
Also, someone tried to insert a similar allegation again:
Kevin McCarthy (California politician): Difference between revisions
It was done with a mobile browser, from an IP assigned to Embarq Corporation (which is now owned by CenturyTel).
Is McCarthy stuck on Ellmers like glue?
McCarthy is gone because of the threat of outing his affair by order of 0dingo.
