“House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy has pulled out of the race for House Speaker, throwing further doubt on congressional leadership ahead of crucial budget negotiations, NBC News confirmed Thursday.
House Republicans said that the party’s leadership election would be pushed to a later date.”
May be good news. May be the RINOs want a more tyrannical Speaker.

I believe the Freedom Caucus had its mouth set for Webster. Neither has a good Conservative score but Chaffetz’s is higher than Webster’s. On the other hand Webster has experience as a House Speaker in Florida and, if he determines to make a mark he will be a Conservative as Speaker.
Gowdy and Gomert have both declined the honor emphatically.
