We’ve spent billions of dollars, American lives, and compromised our integrity over there - and we’ve got NOTHING to show for it... Nothing.

If we had a different President - and a competent State Department it might be different. But we don’t... So for now, we should assist the Russians with cleaning out ISIS, learn from our mistakes and be thankful ISIS will be pissed off at Russians and not us.

Our military’s fine - but they can’t do all the parts necessary... The Arab Spring turned out to be ‘Arab Hell On Earth’... That’s what liberal ideas produce - hell on earth.

Democrats are running the war - that means it’s based on lies... lies about how we’re doing better than we are, lies on cost, lies on deals... Good people are being compromised. And nothing good is coming out of our effort or out of the ME hellholes...

Obama will be out of office in less than 400 days... then we can formulate a complete plan...

Hopefully they’ll convert the region to Russian Orthodox, after pounding it to dust.

The issue is not ISIS, its Obama trying to do a slow-bleed on Assad in cooperation with the Saudis and Turks

Putin called Obama’s bluff, and will mop up all the Saudi paid mercenaries and ISIS, and tell the world he is a humanitarian.

Meanwhile, Obama looks like a fool.

A “normal” Russian Tank Battalion consists of:

3 tank companies with 13 tanks each

total of 165 personnel and 40 tanks (one “lead tank)

I would assume they would have quite a few support and maintenance personnel plus infantry. Probably around 500-600 total.

In a tank division, a tank BN has 31 tanks. In a motorized rifle division, a tank bn has 40 tanks.

With oil being so cheap it may not be feasible to pump oil from the Golan or elsewhere.

T-90s are the model mentioned.

According to a posted on a mil site:
“My best guess is that the TO&E is now 3 companies with 4 platoons of 3x tanks plus 1x command tank each (39) and a battalion headquarters of 2x tanks (41). Of course, the battalion’s organization could be different.”

This may include mobile arty as well - 155mm

How many men is largely irrelevant - its the number of tanks and arty that count - the T-90 for instance is a three man tank.
