1. Dr Carson is not my preferred candidate.
2. Mr Scarborough is not competent to enlarge upon the eligibility of anyone to be President. Constitutional requirements are met, and it is up to the People to decide.
3. Perhaps Mr Scarborough is speaking of something other than Constitutional eligibility. If so, he should use a different word.

No white man with Ben Carson's biography would have anywhere near his standing in the GOP primary.

I do believe Gentle Ben does measure up on all these defined requirements.
There has been a wide range of capabilities and abilities among all the persons who have served as President, and no further criteria has ever emerged that change any of the basic requirements.

Obama led the life of a spoiled upper class white kid in an area remote from any American inner city. Beyond half his parentage being white, and those who raised him being 100% white, how does that lend itself to the stereotypical African-American lifestyle. Oh, he choose to self-identify as black! We're not looking for Brain Surgeon in Chief. We're looking for president. And Carson is way down my list of people I'd want in that position.
Well...say whatever you like about HRC and BHO, but they both served in the US Senate and won elections in large states before running for POTUS. And yes, voters could have and should have closely examined their voting records in the US Senate...that is usually a good indication of where they come down on any given issue.
