To: miss marmelstein

I had an Uncle(married my father’s sister). On occasion and being drunk he would beat on my aunt and two cousins(females).
One night he got a “visit” from some of his relatives and friends.

The following Sunday and until he died, he and family sat in church, on the third pew from the front.

That’s the way it was then. Not too many paid “lawmen”. If you mistreated your family in any way, you were in line for a visit from the local neighboring men.
