Saudi-led airstrikes hit Yemen wedding party, killing at least 28

At least 80 women were killed in the wedding airstrikes, said Yemeni medical officials.

Fighter jets of the Saudi-led coalition bombing the Shiite Houthi group in Yemen mistakenly struck a wedding ceremony in Mokha city in Taiz province with several missiles, the official told Xinhua on condition of anonymity.

There was no immediate comment from the Saudi-led Arab coalition, which launched an air war on the Huthi rebels in late March in support of embattled President Abedrabbo Mansour Hadi.

There is concern over the increase in civilian fatalities in Yemen in recent times, which was highlighted by the deaths of more than 100 people at a wedding party in the southwestern Al-Wahijah village of Yemen over the weekend

“They struck a wedding, there were only civilians there and majority died because the Mokha hospital is closed because of supply – no drugs, no fuel, no electricity, no nothing, so the staff left”, Boucenine said. Saudi officials, however, denied responsibility. “Any intentional attack against civilians is considered a serious violation of worldwide humanitarian law”. Aside from the dead, mostly women and children were injured, reported Xinhua sourcing an anonymous tribe member with knowledge of the events.

Where is the outrage from the Moslem street or from MSM? Imagine if Israel did this?

Also note that the Saudis are allied with AlQaeda fighting the Houthis

It is hard to tell the players without a card. Please explain. The Saudis, who are not our friends and are moslem, bombed a wedding in Yeman, which is not our friend and are majority moslem. Is that right?

People dying and going to hell is really, really sad.

The article heading states: Saudi-led airstrikes hit Yemen wedding party, killing at least 28. Yet the very first sentence of the article says: At least 80 women were killed in the wedding airstrikes, said Yemeni medical officials.

So what was it, at least 28 people, or at least 80 women? Perhaps there was so many burka parts scattered around that a best guess had to be made.

As for Muslim countries and the MSM expressing outrage, it's not going to happen. No more than black on black crime in America is going to generate outrage. Doesn't rise to the level of "discrimination". After all, that is the only concern. Deaths not being able to be attributed to perceivable acts of discrimination, are not important.

The insanity of the whole situation is this. While Obama gives Iran everything it wants in a nuclear deal, he is helping the Saudis in Yemen with munitions to fight the war against the Houthis who are supported by Iran.

Obama is fighting Iran in Yemen and Syria while he kisses up to Iran with the nuclear deal. Obama must be trying to kiss up to the Saudis who are backing both wars against Iran.

Or is just a good way to keep business interests happy by lifting Iranian sanctions with the nuke deal so their frozen assets can make Western companies like Boeing and Airbus happy?

As for the wars in Yemen and Syria, I guess that keeps Arab money from the Saudis and the Gulf coming to our shores and the “military industrial complex” makes bucks selling its wares and knowhow?

Has it come to the points where our Uniparty politicians are just the tools of business elites and or foreign governments?

Dumb ass headline..Saudi-led airstrikes hit Yemen wedding party, killing at least 28

Then starts out with: At least 80 women were killed in the wedding airstrikes, said Yemeni medical officials.

And goes on to state: ....highlighted by the deaths of more than 100 people at a wedding party in the southwestern Al-Wahijah village of Yemen over the weekend.

I think it might be due to the widespread custom of “celebratory” gun fire. Their unfortunate choice of using quad .50’s in their celebrations probably added to the confusion.

It's cultural - we couldn't possibly understand.

“Wedding parties” seem to be extremely dangerous in the muslim world.

Especially if somebody thinks one or more high-value targets are there.

“They struck a wedding, there were only civilians there" -- Does al Qaeda wear uniforms? Al Qaeda is "civilian".

the Saudis -- greater evil -- sponsor and create terrorist groups around the world as the Saudis are the font of the Wahabbi philosophy -- they created the Taliban, AlQaeda and Islamic State

fighting Houthis who are a group of Shia from Yemen. The Houthi are a lesser evil, a much lesser evil
