The close air support is a big deal, as is bombing the munitions depots and field HQs of the bogeys.

Another week of “chaos” and then the news media will have trouble reporting on Syria without making Obama look pitiful...as the Russians will have changed the equation on the ground in Syria by then.

What will Europeans think of Putin as he stops the flood of Syrian refugees to Europe?!

Sounds like, to me, that the ISIS hostiles just found out what happens when the schmucks they had been attacking, had run away like skeered bunnies or converted to their insane belief system are gone and troops with a little backbone come at them.

They (ISIS) should have paid more heed to the Rooskies’ pamphlet. Hope it’s a ‘no prisoners’ scenario.

The Rebels are claiming they destroyed dozens of tanks but keep showing one tank that is not moving and being fired upon. So footage and claims by rebels are suspect regarding that. Again, all based on me looking at breaking twitter feeds.

Russia, unlike America, believes in respecting the religious beliefs of others. Jihadis say they want the paradise gained by losing their life while waging a religious war and Russia is happy to oblige.

No, he left a relatively stable ME in chaos and aflame and caused the greatest reugee crisis since WWII. That’s his legacy.

Close Air support. Imagine what Grant or Less could have done with that.

I understand Putin sent “infiltrators” into ISIS and terrorists groups some time ago....so he knows where these guys are and their ammo locations etc. This all makes one consider just how a Russian invasion might be similar to if that's what they really want to do in any country. They could have done likewise in Ukraine but didn't. Just interesting to observe how rapidly Russia engaged this and is not messing around.

Thanks for that. Seems like the bulge is being reduced. One side serving as an anvil and the other side smashing into it.

Probably designed to make the forces inside escape rather than fight to the death. The Russians seem to favor that tactic these days. Used it in Chechnya in the taking of Grozny and just recently in the Ukraine.
