Would someone please, in precise and exact terms, define exactly what “common sense gun control measures” these people are talking about when they propose the answer to all our problems will be solved if we can just enact new laws requiring a “Universal Background Check” for citizens to own firearms? Has anyone ever defined exactly what that is, because I really don’t know what it is that would either qualify or disqualify one from possessing a firearm.

Also, what exactly is this “gunshow loophole” they talk so much about? Where I live here in once beautiful California, it is illegal, whether you’re a licensed firearms dealer or a private citizen to transfer ownership of a firearm without going through a Federal firearms licensee, EVEN AT GUNSHOWS!!.

I realize that some states “allow” private party firearm sales without involving an FFA licensee, but I don’t know which ones they are or how many there are.

I also hear all the time about people buying guns (gasp) over the internet as if you can get anything you want (just like at Alice’s restaurant, apparently) but I’m confused by that because most internet gun dealers won’t even sell to a California resident because of the number of laws and regulations involved. Are there states where dealers or private party individuals are permitted to sell or transfer firearms over the internet without any regulation or government involvement?

In all seriousness, if anyone would just force these people to define exactly what it is that these people are trying to impose on us, I think we’d be much better able to resist their continual encroachment on our second amendment guarantees.

” define exactly what “common sense gun control measures”.....

Let me see if I can ‘splain it to you. You turn in all of your firearms without compensation never to be seen again. The oppressive govt gets to keep and use any and all forfeited arms. That is their idea of “common sense gun control measures”.

Gun show loophole. An individual goes to a gun show with an AR-15 for sale. Some other individual looking for a good deal buys it. Viola. LOOPHOLE. Absurdity at it’s finest.

“Would someone please, in precise and exact terms, define exactly what “common sense gun control measures”...”

I’ll give it a shot (no pun intended).

“Universal Background Check”: Bet you thought that 80’s cartoon “Masters of the Universe was just a cheesy cartoon. Nope. It’s for reals. The democrats really want EVERY firearm purchase to be brought before the Masters of the Universe and personally signed of on by He Man.

“gunshow loophole”: Once again, most people are unaware of this, but at every single gun show, hidden from view, is a hole, that once a firearm has been dropped into it, the only way to retrieve it is to use a loop, similar to what cowboys use to capture cattle. The anti-gunners despise this hole because like I said, once a gun goes down it, it can never be found again unless there happens to be a cowboy nearby, and that takes an opportunity away from the anti-gunners to fill out paper work on, which is their most favorite thing in the world to do. They absolutely hate it when they miss a chance at doing paperwork.

“firearm sales without involving an FFA”: Ah, yes! The Future Farmers of America LOVE guns! Guns give them the chance to explode the predators attacking their livestock (if they use the .223 ammo that Mika was talking about), and guns also give their sister organization, 4-H, a wholsome shooting sport to compete in.

“Buying guns over the internets”: This is the disdain of ALL anti-gunners. Even though Al Gore invented the Internets, he had to make a deal with Skelator to take credit for making it. The deal was that Skeletor gets a portion of all guns for sale on the Internet to use against He Man. Since they want He Man to do all the background checks, they certainly don’t want his nemesis to be supplied with guns. As far as private individuals buying the guns over the internets, that’s still a work in progress. So far, it still requires the assistance of Mexican Drug Cartells to deliver them to citizens of the United States because nobody can find any Americans to do that job yet, so this issue really isn’t much of a problem.

I hope this helps.
