I used to have relatives that lived in Dothan Alabama.

It isn’t something I am particularly proud of however.

I lived in Dothan for five years. The best run city I have ever seen.

Is that because of the relatives?

My mom grew up on a cotton farm in Enterprise, Alabama, during the Depression. She was a secretary at Napier Field in Dothan in 1943. She went out on a blind date with an Army Air Corps Tech Sergeant from Philly. They married 6 months later, were happily married for 58 years, and had 5 kids. The only finer woman I’ve known than my mom is my wife of 28 years. I’m proud of my connection, and my salt of the earth family who live near it.
