Carly Fiorina received a BA from Stanford in medieval history and philosophy almost 40 years ago, but shes always ready to revisit her undergraduate glory days. Last Sunday, the Republican presidential candidate tried to burnish her national security credentials by claiming that her bachelors degree prepared her to fight Isis. She said: Finally my degree in medieval history and philosophy has come in handy, because what Isis wants to do is drive us back to the Middle Ages, literally.
Id like to state unequivocally that my years of training to become a professor of medieval history in no way make me fit to be appointed commander-in-chief of the US military. While the Middle Ages do in fact shape contemporary events all the time, Fiorina unfortunately almost always gets the lessons of history wrong.

But community organizing for ACORN in Chicago does?
The serving wench actually said this? Incredible! That kind of an answer in ANY job interview gets you a rejection letter - let alone when you’re applying to be the POTUS.
She just keeps getting worse and worse.
Carly disqualified herself by suggesting she wanted to start WW III with Russia over Syria.
Carly, what’s for dinner tonight? Carly, please, go back to being a domestic goddess which you were designed for. This stuff makes you look like a nut.
Carly, unless you are Channeling Charles the Hammer...go away!

Really, Carly? On whose side would we be fighting in Syria? ISIS?
Now you are quoting the Guardian
Can anyone point out anything of consequence she ever got RIGHT? Because it sure isn’t anything in business.
“But community organizing for ACORN in Chicago does?”
Nobody’s suggesting that. That’s a false comparison if I ever saw one.
Cara’s unqualified based on her record, her ideology, her demeanor, and her propensity to play the gender card when all else fails.
“We must be prepared to use force, declared Fiorina in a hawkish response to Russian airstrikes in the central city of Homs.
Fiorina continued to criticize Sec. John Kerry and his cadre of submissives as unbelievably weak, sternly demanding a no-fly zone between the Turkish and Syrian border and no-fly zone under anti-Assad rebel forces we support. Citing specific strategy points, Fiorina deconstructed the deteriorating situation on the ground and urged the administration to pull together our Sunni Arab allies. She attributed Putins audacious display of hostility as a Russian aggressor that feels very confident to the Obama administrations failure to intervene in Ukraine when Russia waltzed into the Crimea without a single red light. We must make it crystal clear to Russia that they do not get to move into the Middle East and become the dominant outside power, Fiorina said with a certitude of a commander-in-chief.
She also needs a degree in medieval Tibetan poetry or classical studies in Chaucer.
It is very obvious that Carly is hitting the target because she continues to get a lot of flak from the uninformed voters. Uninformed voters includes anyone that supports Obama or another Democrat.
Obama's unqualified based on his record, his ideology, his demeanor, and his propensity to play the race card when all else fails.
Sounds like they share a lot.
A dumb thing for any candidate to say, regardless of their undergraduate degree. She has left herself venerable to jokes, and speculation that she thinks that world political issues can be solved by undergraduate academia.
And Dorkbama the Muslim’s “degrees” in whatever qualify him?
Admit it, Guardian cretins, even his so-called law degree was a quota gift.
The man is just plain stupid.
OK Carly, spend just one month actually fighting with the volunteers who are fighting ISIS. I mean actually a full month, weapon in hand, fighting the fight. It would be great for your campaign, if you survived. It will prove how helpful your medieval history degree is in fighting them.
That’s why she thinks the pencil, arithmetic and a lot of other good things was invented by the muslims.
