Former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley’s presidential polling woes extend to his home state, where he takes only 2 percent support in the race for the Democratic nomination, according to a new poll.

A Goucher College poll released Tuesday shows Hillary Clinton leading the field in Maryland with 43 percent support, followed by Vice President Biden at 23 percent, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) at 17 percent, and O’Malley, tied with former Virginia Sen. Jim Webb, at 2 percent.

The amazing thing is that he can raise $$. Guess he still has good contacts in the mafia.

The People’s Republic of Maryland is SO corrupt.

When 0’Malley took over the office of Governor from B.Ehrlich (R) there was a surplus in the state treasury ,,, as he leaves office he has racked up a 48 billion dollar debt. in his wake . See the Maryland Debt Clock as proof . He raised all sorts of taxes and even taxed the rain that falls on all properties in Md. . So I just can’t understand why the Dems aren’t embracing him like they did 0bama .

Only because of the urban cluster areas. Many of us Marylanders are conservative.

Hey, maybe MD can be proud after all.

NOT knee-jerk picking its own Dem gov, and not having open commie Sanders in 1st place or even 2nd.

MD is looking up!

As Bigg stated, there are MANY conservative MDers by nature/native.

MD is the poster child for why electoral college process works. We are ruled by a few concentrated places (welfare queens on one hand, federali limo libs on the other), and it gets the rest of the population angry. We’ve had Eastern Shore and Western MD even recently threaten secession.

And these glib idiots want to throw the Electoral College process when they don’t get their Dem. I’d like to extend EC down to state level.

Perhaps it’s time we Marylanders started singing our state song. Here’s the seldom heard 6th stanza:

Dear Mother! burst the tyrant’s chain,
Maryland, My Maryland!
Virginia should not call in vain!
Maryland, My Maryland!
She meets her sisters on the plain-
“Sic semper!” ‘tis the proud refrain
That baffles minions back amain,
Maryland! My Maryland!

&&&&
In the 1860s, the Union was desperate to keep Maryland in the Union, but not all of Maryland was on board, and some would have joined the Confederacy.

Today, Maryland is once again a state with many fissures. Many of us revere the Constitution, but we get bossed around by the statists.
