It's a poem about hearing a thunderstorm, opening the window and feeling the wind and raindrops, then going outside and playing in the first thunderstorm of spring. People come out and sing, and forget about the danger, and watch the lightning like fireworks.

My answer would be: If you can't say anything nice, say it in Yiddish.
