US Should Attempt To Disarm Russians In Syria: Brzezinski
Press TV ^ | October 6, 2015

US foreign policy expert Zbigniew Brzezinski says the United States should retaliate if Russia does not stop bombing its assets in Syria.

Brzezinski, the national security advisor for former President Jimmy Carter, advised President Barack Obama to attempt to disarm the Russians if they keep attacking the CIA-trained militants in Syria.

"The Russian naval and air presences in Syria are vulnerable, isolated geographically from their homeland," Brzezinski wrote in an article published by the Financial Times on Sunday. "They could be 'disarmed' if they persist in provoking the US."

Its hard to believe how addled the ruling elite in this country have become.

Scary, in fact.

We need normal people in office, now.

Insanity.

Yes, we could easily take out the Russian military units in the Med, but why?

Are they posing a threat to us? To our allies? Assad is a better alternative to Israel than ISIS. And even if a Free Syrian Army does exist, outside of Islamist control, they wouldn’t last 10 minutes against ISIS once Assad was defeated.

And what would the Russian reaction be to having their ships, planes, and personnel disarmed/attacked? Torpedoing a U.S. CVN or DDG perhaps? Shooting down a few of our patrol aircraft?

This is truly insanity. We (Obama) created a huge vacuum and after quite a pause, the Russians have stepped into that vacuum. This is not aggression on their part, it’s stupidity and criminal negligence on Obama’s part.

Never thought I’d see my country go so crazy as to support murderous Moslem scum by directly attacking another major power.

He’s as nuts as Warren Christopher that didn’t want anyone shot and killed during the Iranian hostage rescue attempt.

Wanted the rescue team to shoot the guns out of the Iranians hands the way Roy Rogers did.

I’m a Cruz guy. Here are my observations.

We opened the door and invited the Russians in. Now they are there. They are killing Islamic militants. Assad, especially a bankrupt Assad in charge of a devastated Syria, isn’t of much threat to us or Israel, but ISIS is.

The time to keep the Russians out of Syria has long since passed. After taking a pass on doing anything meaningful ourselves, it would be insane to confront the Russians militarily to make them stop.

I’m all for holding the Russians in check in Europe, but if they want to crush Islamists and bolster strongmen who will continue to crush Islamists, I’m all for it.

Maybe we could even find common ground with the Russians and Chinese on exterminating Islam worldwide. We all have something to gain from that.

Is Syria not a sovereign country? Does it not have UN membership? Who are we to say what goes on in Syria.
