Trump: 'I'm not getting out'
THE HILL ^ | OCTOBER 6, 2015 - 7:46AM EDT | Jesse Byrnes

Posted on 10/06/2015 5:28:53 AM PDT by onyx

Real estate tycoon Donald Trump insisted Tuesday that he was nowhere near ending his 2016 White House bid, despite slipping a bit in some polls.

"Not even a thought, not even 1 percent of the thought," Trump said during a phone interview broadcast on CNN's "New Day."

"Why would I get out?" Trump asked, pointing out that he is still leading polls for the Republican presidential nomination. "I'm not going anywhere."

Trump has suggested in several interviews that he may end his White House bid if he dropped into the low single digits, like several other candidates in the field.

"The media is so dishonest, it's so disgusting," Trump said of how his remarks were interpreted in coverage of his campaign. "I'm not getting out. I'm going to win."

Immediately following the interview, Trump retweeted two supporters who called CNN’s Chris Cuomo and his questions “pathetic.”

"@LindaRicker6: My choice @realDonaldTrump just finished a great interview on CNN. Pathetic questions from Cuomo but Trump cleared the air."— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) October 6, 2015

"@Lisa_Steen: seriously Cuomo hates DonaldTrump he was a pathetic interviewer AS USUAL! Please don't go anywhere Mr Trump AMERICA NEEDS YOU"— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) October 6, 2015

Trump, who has led in the polls for more than two months, saw his lead shrink in the early voting states of Iowa and New Hampshire in polling released Sunday.

The businessman saw his 16-point lead over his nearest rival get cut to 5 points in New Hampshire, according to NBC News/Wall Street Journal/Marist polling.

He is also leading by just 5 points in Iowa, besting neurosurgeon Ben Carson there 24 to 19 percent, compared to a 7-point lead last month.

It’s as if they all got the weekly memo at the same time!

What will it be next week? “Lassie Would Still Be Alive Today If Not Poisoned By Trump!!”

Why didn’t pro-abort, queer “marriage” supporting “Catholic” Cuomo talk about the latest Pew Poll which shows Trump up big on all his rivals? Pew is a hell of a lot more reputable than the left-leaning WSJ/Marist poll.

Most of the media have ignored the recently released Pew Poll which showed Trump leading big time over his rivals. Bloody Megyn searches the internet daily to find a poll showing Trump “slipping” and always starts off her show with the results, with the same old tired interview of the same old tired Trump haters weighing in to say the end is near for Trump.

I’m certain that CNN will ask Piano Legs if she is getting out of the race.

They hate him because he diminishes them. Centrally, and fundamentally, this is a huge component of their spite and resentment of him. He relegates them to the ‘job’ they actually are supposed to do - ‘reporting’ the news. Unfortunately, that’s not what a significant portion of the media signed up for. Writing the truth through impeccable delivery of facts is a powerful enough position to be in, and an important job to have. Pity it isn’t enough..

“The question I have is, what if they become a tag-team”.

They will before it’s over.

“They ignore Carly’s amnesty, and abortion flip flops, catty insults on Sen. Boxers looks. They ignore Carly’s failures at Lucent and HP”.

Like being the CEO of HP for 6 years while HP shamefully donated millions of dollars to Planned Parenthood and other baby killing programs all over the world? Fox NEVER ASKS her the hard questions about supporting abortion the exact same way they let Jeb Bush slide on his support of abortion down through the years.

“I mean, remember how, since 2011, Trump (AS SEEN ON TV) stumped for all those conservative candidates, donating millions in time and money?”

Understand your point, but it seems to me that a great many businessman/women play both sides of the political fence, understanding that being too tied to one side or the other could hurt their business. I’m not defending Trump, but just stating that I don’t think this is particularly unusual.

The masses that only hear snippets of political news would think that Trump is falling fast because that’s what all the media basically is reporting, it makes me angry.

I laugh at the people here that tell me pollsters would never make up polls

The same people making up this story are the same people responsible for the polling. They pay for it, they order it, and in crunch time the pollsters deliver what their customer wants

You’re right but may I add the obvious. They can’t control him. They can’t buy him. The Teamsters and unions are swing to him because they are getting screwed by these trade sellouts while congress does nothing. WE WANT JOBS IN AMERICA__ NOT CHINA!! People are generally pissed and getting madder every day. Trump has not even started yet.

It’s a big blanket Trump carries around to cover his nakedness. It should set off alarm bells instead of excuse making.

Where does Trump stand on individual liberty, the fundamental issue of conservatism? He loves the Kelo decision. Will he really break the Government/Democrat Money Machine?

RTW? Forced unionism? Bacon-Davis? We already know he’s OK with SSM and modified-to-please-rhetoric Amnesty.
