Well, Juan, it really isn’t that $8 part. It is the ‘fatal shooting’ part.

Well, Juan... If you were in Mexico, they would have killed you on the spot, just for the $8.

And he should not have been on death row for 17 years at tax payers expense. Should have hanged him the Sunday following the end of the trial.

Texas inmate says he shouldn't die for $8 robbery, slaying.

Reminds me of the absurd story, a few years ago, that produced the headline, Woman Arrested for Petting Dog."

The omitted details told a completely different story.

If you kill a man for $8, then you deserve to die for killing a man for $8.

Sorry Juan...but my care meter is registering ZERO for your cause.

You should’ve been dealt with back in 1999 at the latest. You won’t be missed!

The 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals rejected an appeal from Juan Martin Garcia, 34,
who was sentenced to death for the shooting death of a 36 year old Houston area man during
a robbery nearly 16 years ago that authorities said netted him $8.

His attorneys contend that he’s mentally impaired and ineligible for the death penalty.

From his loss of appeal article back in 2014:
http://www.kwtx.com/home/headlines/Four-Texas-Death-Row-Inmates-Lose-Appeals-265258511.html

He had his day in court and went thru the appeals process..
