Monday at a Town Hall in Manchester, NH, Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton urged “responsible gun owners,” to form a new gun rights advocacy group, separate from the National Rifle Association (NRA) to “take back the Second Amendment from these extremists.”

I know that people who do ‘favors’ for people will not take the fall if it means their own freedoms are at stake....
The MEN who started this country made sure We The People were guaranteed the right to arm ourselves should we ever have to defend ourselves from an oppressive government.
That is the 2nd Amendment.
To defend ourselves should a tyrant ever try to overthrow The People.
Hillary Clinton will soon find this out. She and all the democrats will find out what a ‘well regulated militia’ is all about.

I recommend a Google search for a liberal skewed ABC movie of the week from the early 70s. It was a two part film titled Shadow on the Land, about popular armed resistance to a right wing coup. The good guys do plenty of damage to the coup’s forces, using M1s, carbines, 03s, 1911s, and an M14 here and there. In the end they win. So even liberals used to believe the Second Amendment was about defending liberty, not hunting and target shooting

The NRA is very pro-hunting, but it also subscribes to the sexy gun phobia that many, such as yourself, subscribe to. They're happy as clams with a five shot or single shot rifle being protected.
So, in essence, what you're advocating is that we neuter the strongest gun control organization in favor of one which actually does subscribe to the bill of rights, that is fully aware that it was not shooting a bear that the 2nd was written out for, but to ensure that the government would always be of the people and for the people, because otherwise we'd simply take it back under the power of arms.
So you might want to re-think your strategy; oh, right, what am I saying? Your words are not intended for law abiding gun owners, nor for people with conservative viewpoints, but as yet another empty gesture to pacify your own rabid contingent who really does fear that at some point, the American people might not want to give up their homes, their paychecks and their lives to serve the liberal cause.
