As they taught us in the first grade...don’t look into the fireball.
A senior defense official...
Same guy that glorified our victories over ISIS?
Blitzkrieg, Part II.
I hate to give unpaid advice to the Democrats, but they should probably look at deploying an Armored Cavalry Regiment (if we still have one) along the Saudi border.
Sends a message.
Hama must win the prize as the unluckiest town on the planet. Most of what was the town before the Muslim Brotherhood revolt in 1982 ended up as carefully consistent haystack sized mounds of rubble as far as the eye could see. I know because about nine months later Hama was the main stop on my Karnak Bus ride both ways between Damascus and Aleppo and I saw the fields of rubble. A reputed 40,000 Sunni survivors of the Syrian Army shelling were rounded up and trucked into the desert, never to be heard from again. The Christian neighborhoods were left largely intact and that was the location of our bus stop.
If youd like to be on or off, please FR mail me.

Yes, Hama. The last time the Islamists made trouble there (1982) Assad's pop killed 20,000 to 40,000, depending on who is doing the counting. Surrounded the city, and shelled it. Killed some terrorists too, but mostly civilians.
