Carson had this nailed from the beginning. He's not my candidate, but his understanding of health care in its totality dwarfs everyone running.

The lameness of claiming he only knows how to bill is beyond stupid.

I think it's his common sense and innate conservative principles that clarified this more than his inside knowledge. Many doctors do not understand the mechanism, other than how they specifically bill to get paid. Ditto some health insurance execs.

It's a general understanding of risk management, the big picture of what insurance really is, that drives his coherence on this. Insurance is not a way to protect anything....only a way to protect one's bank account against the cost of repairing that thing (health, car, house, boat, whatever). If's an instrument of financial risk management, period. Thus, a high deductible lower premium plan is the the best option

would you tell me please, because dawg sure can’t, how taking government out of the insurance market is a government solution? Her logic is not up to snuff this am.
