I was reading the crawl at RT (Russian TV) which had at least 3 lines explaining how ISIS was moving operations close to mosques and into civilian population areas in Syria. Meanwhile, what was Russia doing flying into Turkish air space?

There is imagery out today via twitter that shows ISIL military vehicles parked beside mosques

Shades of DESERT STORM

Saddam did the same thing

Parked his fighter aircraft in base housing

ISIL vehicles in civilian areas: Good targets for special forces with the help of locals. ISIS being foreigners plus their brutality have alienated a lot of local tribes

the overflights could have just been incidental and accidental...I don’t see Putin looking to give Turkey an excuse to ask NATO to come into this...we don’t know if the pilots were Syrian or Russian flying Syrian aircraft. Russian does not have MiG 29s in Syria, but Syria has them

How close to the border were 8 Turkish F-16s and were they armed and with what? Looking to threaten the Kurds who are now Russian allies? Testing the Russians?
