It is likely other European members of the anti-Assad coalition will join with Germany to say Assad must be part of the political process.

Thus putting into high relief Obama's utter humiliation.

“would not be enough to end four years of bloodshed in the war-scarred country.”

Caused by Obama supporting rebels.

"Merkel can’t handle her own country."

You know that has noting to do with this article or the subject at hand, right?

Merkel can’t handle her own country.

And all those “refugees” going into Germany are going to bite her in the Butt big time and are already compounding her troubles.

She also wants Saudi Arabia, Iran, France, Great Britain, and her own Germany at the table along with Asaad himself, the US (neglects to mention Obama) and Putin himself ... Good luck.

What is the point of overthrowing Assad if you don’t care that Iran has nukes?

"Good luck"

Russia would be happy to formally invite, and host them all in St. Petersburg.

It would be one of those invitations most countries would find hard to decline.

The reason for taking down Assad is to close Iran’s window on the Mediterranean, and eliminate its only mideastern ally.

That only matters in the context of a move against Iran itself, to foreclose on its nuclear ambitions or to remove the mullahs from power.

If you don’t care that Iran and its mullahs have nukes, then there is no reason to take down Assad. Especially if you are planning to replace him with jihadis worse than he.

Merkel should have known better than to bow to the PC BS altar of liberalis. Her country is screwed. It was an orchestrated invasion and Merkel couldn’t see it. She will be out of office and replaced by a Muzzie in in no time.

Germany has deeper economic ties to Russia than other European countries. I was watching a German soccer game the other week on Fox Sports and the players from one of the teams wore uniforms with the name of the Russian energy company “Gazprom” on them.

That inconsistency is amazing.....Rush Limbaugh spoke about the Republicans wanting sanctions lifted on Iran as bad as Obama and how Senator Corker (Foreign Relations Committee chairman) enabled that with his legislative efforts.

The vote against the Iran nuclear deal was a show by the GOPe to make them look good. They knew they would lose.
Ted Cruz made a speech about ‘show votes’ last week that’s worth watching from the Senate floor.

Getting back to El Rusbo, he made the observation that Iran’s frozen assets of 150 billion dollars that would be freed by sanctions were expected to be spent in part by the Iranians on repairs and new airplanes for their civil aviation fleet.

That would benefit Boeing. Looks like lobbyists for business may have had a big say on Iranian policy from the way Rush discussed it. Rush also noted Airbus, a European company, was also expected to benefit by sanctions being lifted. I read recently they opened up a factory in Mobile, Alabama. Do Alabama GOP politicians know something about that?

Consider this. Obama and GOPe support for the “Free Syrian Army” opposing Assad also puts them in opposition to Iran which backs Assad’s government militarily.

In addition, US military support for Saudi Arabian led efforts to prop up Yemen’s government against Houthi rebels
also works against Iran who backs the Houthis.

And yet at the same time the United States and European powers cut this nuclear weapons enabling deal with Iran.
It boggles the mind. Business lobbying of our political leaders appears to have played a role in the insane decision by our leaders to enable Iran to develop nukes.

Dwight Eisenhower warned about the ‘military industrial complex’ in his farewell speech as POTUS.

Very well put!

I think most people overlook the fact that today’s US Military is being used mainly to protect special interests that are advancing the New World Order agenda.

Our military is actually being used to take down their own country.

President Eisenhower was exactly right.

The military efforts in Syria backed by Obama and Republicans like Jeb and Fiorina and McCain, Graham etc. etc. are backed by the Saudis and Gulf Arabs, who have $$$$$ that finds its way into America’s business and educational institutions and I strongly suspect the hands of politicians.

Obama is also helping the Saudi ‘moderate jihadis’ support Yemen’s government aginst the Iranian backed Houthis.

What’s Merkel going to do? Threaten to send back hundreds of thousands of Syrians? How stupid is she?
