Obama should NEVER have withdrawn all our troops from Iraq.
He never should have assassinated Khadafi (which was illegal).
He never should have gone into Egypt.
He should have never armed the rebels in Syria....cuz we don't know who's who.
We should have never spent $500 million dollars to train 54 Syrian rebels.....5 of whom were captured first time out. Our military says they're rethinking this training stuff.
We should have never sat down with Iran until our prisoners were released. (Can we give Bergdahl back?)
Just too many stupid moves. Like playing chess with a 5 year old.
Except Obama isn’t a 5 year old...he’s a jihadi.
Absolutely. After all the sacrifice, to me this was like giving back France after Normandy.
In retrospect it is very easy to say that Iraq was a mistake, and I respect the fact that Trump voiced this apparently before we went into Iraq, but I absolutely understand Bush's reasoning at that point. Occupy them there, to avoid giving them the time and opportunity to export terror from their hiding places. Plus, our intel at the time was telling us that Iraq had WMDs, and Hussein had refused to comply with the UN inspections on multiple occasions. We had developed a beachhead of sorts in the Middle East, and provided to the region a visible image of US resolve.
Bush did not create this mess, and any Republican who accedes on that point to the left is hurting their party and allowing the current administration to skate after they created a much bigger mess by exiting Iraq way too early and so leaving a vacuum that allowed the birth and expansion of ISIS.
