One of those killed was a recent high school graduate and a Hispanic young woman. Visibly Hispanic lovely looking young woman. Christian girl according to what people say. I’m just saying this because the gunman was anti Christian and possibly anti Jew. The shooter may well be anti white but it doesn’t seem a main motivation - there are small numbers of blacks here.

Have they said what kind of guns were used? I’m reading one victim was shot seven times, another ten, and wondering how either of those two could have survived being shot that many times unless it was a .22 or other small caliber. What a callous MF! Hope the shooter rots in hell!

You haven’t heard the new narrative I take it. Shooting those in the head that were Christian was his good deed to spare them suffering. Sick SOB!

Yes, history is replete with people lined up to be shot and doing nothing... Shock and fear can paralyze you, even if your brain is screaming "RUN" your legs don't move...

On a recent visit with my dog at the Vet, the Vet had trouble getting blood from my dog's leg. My dog was in panic mode, as he always is when I take him in. The vet said that adrenaline literally thickens the blood. I think your are correct that fear (excess adrenaline) can paralyze people. However, people need to be taught more to over come it.

I was once a robbery victim in a store in which I worked. A gang of armed blacks herded everyone, customers and employees into the back and made us all lie down and empty our pockets. Fortunately, no shooting occured. Since that time, i am always vigilant wherever I go. I always CCW. Even when I am sitting at home, i have my gun in my pocket, even in my pajamas.

I have only had to fire my gun once. My dog was attacked on a walk one evening by a pit bull. For a moment, I was too shocked to know what to do. I didn't want to use my gun in the middle of a residential neighborhood. But I reasoned that there was no way I was going to watch my dog be murdered while I had my .38 in my pocket. I shot the pit bull twice to make it drop my dog. He only suffered puncture wounds to the skin on the back of his neck. The damned pit-beast actually survived. Fear and shock are difficult to overcome, but sometimes we have to do it.

Interesting to see the politics play out in this.

He was a nut. We have nuts in our society. They do crazy things.

The Democrat Clinton Administration used armored vehicles against American citizens at the Branch Davidian facility.

That was our government. It was a coldly calculated decision. Everybody knows it was an anti-private firearms operation gone bad.

There are going to be nuts.

After the Branch Davidian attack, I will never trust a Democrat Administration. They will willingly kill Americans to get their way.

They can stick gun control up their donkey.

However, people need to be taught more to overcome it.

Not that I disagree with you, but most people live their lives like it is 9/10....happily going about their daily routines not thinking about their situation or potential danger lurking around the corner...

Not sure how those skills would be taught to the average joe citizen...

The exception is the military and police who have been trained to address hostile situations...

Personally, I carry almost everywhere I go, especially the mall, and have thought though scenarios if something was to happen...

I guess I will never know how I would actually react until that times comes...

I know one thing for sure, getting a CCW certainly got my antenna up and I am much more vigilant in appraising my surroundings when I am out and about...

He was basically Barry soetero without the perks Barry got.

Think about it; Barry has the same hatred for the same people inside of him. But he had a privileged upbringing and doesn’t have to resort to shooting the joint up with a single gun to cave to his aggressions.

He can destroy a whole nation with a pen and a phone instead.

Ever since the robbery (that was in 1982), I feel as if a fog was lifted from my eyes. It's kind of like that sci-fi movie "They Live", in which if you wore certain sunglasses, you could see who among normal people were alien invaders. If I pull up to a store, and see some guys and don't like the cut of their jib, I just move on. I always make eye contact with people so that they know I'm not averting my gaze and am probably suspicious of them and am checking them out. If they think I'm a racist cracka, I really don't care.

If students had been allowed to carry, he wouldn’t have targeted the school.

Actually one Army get charged him, got shot 5 times in the process, and saved many lives doing so. He has a GoFundMe page because his medical bills are going to be astronomical.

Some people react one way, others react another.

I once had a gun pointed at me. (Turns out it was a very good replica, but I didn’t know that until I took the gun away from the punk.) Until that actually happens to you, it is probably impossible to know how you’ll react.

PS My reaction was pure violence. I beat the snot out of the punk.

The Branch Davidian attack was a huge turning point for me as well. I look at police in a different way now.

Assuming all the parents where nuts and held all their kids hostage there was no justice that took place before or after the mass killing of those kids.

Had a buddy recently shot 6 times with a large caliber handgun (9mm or .45 - cops never verified which). He survived. Has some physical therapy in front of him, but is back to his life. This was only a few weeks ago.

How did he survive? He called out to Jesus, then a literal miracle occurred. I will post a full account later this week.

Truth really can be stranger than fiction.

Twinkie rarely agrees with Lazmataz; but here, Laz is
CORRECT. - 20 people jumping at a perp, diving at his
legs, arms, biting, scratching & screaming the blood
curdling REBEL YELL, even if you’re not a Rebel;
grabbing his guns & turning them on him. Unite,
people - don’t be passive NO MATTER WHAT!

Now, Twinkie’s a Twinkie; but Twinkie can get the lead
out if she has to!

I read some time ago that you should do just about anything to distract the shooter, like, throw a pen or change from your pocket anything to distract him and divert his attention so you( and others ) can make a move on him. I realize the adrenalin is going to be flowing at warp speed but my guess is, so will his. He prolly will divert to the different motion and if he gets you, it may save other lives because of the diversion, that is, if they react with all that’s going on.

Shock and fear can paralyze you, even if your brain is screaming "RUN" your legs don't move... I also may add, we don't know where the shooter was positioned in the classroom, if he cut off any escape route, you know you are toast anyway...hoping help is coming before you are gone...

Just wondering why no one picked up a desk and charged at him. If one person started, others could have circled him and bashed his head with chairs or desks. That one veteran charged him with his body, and took lots of bullets for his bravery.

Kids today don't go to scouts or ROTC, or take any kind of thought to survival skills.

I think freepers are mainly indignant because the media were quick to label him white in order to vilify whites as mass shooters, when in fact the shooter grew up encultured by his black mother.
