On October 2–just one day after Obama suggested an Australian-like gun ban might be the way forward for America–a gunman opened fire outside a daycare by State Crime Command in Sydney, Australia. Fox News reports “at least two are dead.”
Details are scant, but The Sydney Morning Herald reports that “the gunman, who one witnessed said was dressed in a black gown, opened fire on a police IT worker outside the State Crime Command, which houses some of the state’s top detectives, in Parramatta at 4.35pm on Friday.”
Parramatta real estate agent Edwin Almeida heard shots and looked out the window, where he “saw a man in a black gown pacing and waving a gun outside the police centre.” He said “his frightened staff ran into their office and heard three to four gun shots.”
An officer at the State Crime Command said officials had detected increased “chatter,” leading them to believe an attack was coming. He said “every officer had been ordered to wear their guns on them at all times this week, even while at their desks.” . . .

Shut down the mosques and deport all Muslims.
I remember seeing video of some poor Australian guy who was attacked by a lunatic in a road rage incident. He kept frantically calling the police as the nut tried to break out his windshield, and it took the cops forever to arrive. If the man had been armed, he could have protected himself instead of being at the mercy of a dangerous nut.
