Have a friend who is an insurance investigator who was watching a susbject in Detroit from his van.
4 cops in a Charger pulled up alongside and asked what he was doing. He told them and they then asked if her had a gun.
He always always carries, but he told them no, not wanting a hassle. They screamed at him...”WHY THE HELL NOT? DON’T YOU KNOW WHERE THE F*** YOU ARE?”

Look on the bright side, doctors in Chicago get more training and experience than they would in any war zone.

Host did have one former politician on who was advocating that cities get rid of ‘gun-free zones’ because they are like magnets for emotionally disturbed shooter wannabes. That guest commentator got cut off, because his position does not fit the anti-gun agenda.
Another guest commentator says the mentally/emotionally disturbed should not be blamed. [Good ole Lib position of the last 40 years.]
CNN host has not mentioned that this perp (who he will name, so the perp will not get notoriety) passed LIB installed background checks to legally purchase 13 weapons.

Chicago’s gun laws were struck down 2 years ago after SCOTUS rules in the McDonald case. Concealed carry is legal and permits are relatively easy, if expensive and time consuming, to obtain.
While there are no gun shops or ranges inside the city there are several in the collar counties. Cook County and the city do ban “assault weapons” but standard capacity handguns like Glocks, Springfields, etc are legal.
I routinely carry a Springfield XD .45 throughout Chicago and to date have only encountered 1 private business that had one of the legally required “no guns” signs.
Chicago is one messed up place but the gun laws are not as bad as the ones in Maryland or New York or California.

True story. Our friend, now deceased, was an emergency room nurse in Chicago's Cook County hospital. Gunshot victim (black) came in, near death. Brother (also black) hurried in to see his dieing brother before the victim passed on. Visiting brother finished the job by shooting the victim right there on the emergency room table. Doctors and nurses scurried for cover all over the place.Yes, those doctors and nurses DO get a lot of experience.
