Obama's 'Gun Violence' Pivot Point
Patriot Post ^ | October 2, 2015 | Mark Alexander

Posted on 10/02/2015 1:17:01 PM PDT by yoe

On Thursday evening, Barack Obama interrupted the East Coast primetime news hour with a 15 minute press conference.

Obama called the conference to acknowledge the death of six American military personnel, who were killed when an Air Force C-130 crashed in Jalalabad, Afghanistan, three hours before his press conference. Except that’s not actually why he called the press conference — in fact, their commander in chief didn’t even mention them from the podium.

Instead, Obama did what ( Democrats) do every time there’s an opportunity to assail the ( Second Amendment) with an emotionally charged appeal on the (blood of innocents).

Obama has asserted erroneously, “The vast majority of Americans would like to see serious gun control, [but] it doesn’t pass because there is this huge disconnect between what people think and what legislators think and are willing to act upon.” His disdain for (grassroots gun owners) was summed up in his unguarded remarks to campaign donors in 2008, when he said that they “cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.”

Another run on guns, parts, reloading components, and ammo.

Anybody else think that Obama was rambling and incoherent in his speech yesterday?????

If I can use the word “demagogic”, I think he was demagoging the issue. He was ranting and raving, clearly getting emotional. As a radical Alinksyite who never lets a crisis go to waste, he was in Alinsky mode.

Anybody else think that Obama’s wanting the media to compare the number of gun deaths to the number of Americans killed in terrorist attacks was an absurd suggestion? What does one have to do with the other???

I would suggest that we compare the numbers killed in Chicago and other cities by the youth gangs, mostly black on black killings, and compare those numbers to the numbers killed in mass shootings. While extremely tragic, these mass shootings do not kill nearly as many as the everyday violence found in big city ghettos.

More idiocy from the kenyan tyrant that said "the Constitution is a charter of negative liberties."

The best thing Obama can do to help Republicans is politicizing the gun issue.

GOP needs that kind of help, frankly, to unite.

Amen!

Anybody listening now? He is rambling and babbling.

But wait! He just mentioned Chicago.

I think he’s a candidate for the nervous hospital.

Seems to me that he’s trying to suggest that supporting gun rights makes you worse than a terrorist.

“He was ranting and raving, clearly getting emotional.”

Clearly a man who needs a background check before being allowed to purchase a gun. But elected President? Not so much. /s

“He was ranting and raving, clearly getting emotional.”

A condition found in all narcissistic dictators as their empires and influence begin to crumble.

There is a huge disconnect between voters and legislators.

According to polls, voters did not want Obamacare or the Iran Deal. Yet they crammed them down the throats of those they hold in such contempt—those who stupidly send them to DC.

“...an EO to ban guns and have the American people turn them in...”

Equals insurrection. Those tasked to knock on doors & confiscate guns will learn to kiss their families goodbye every waking morning.
