There is no authority for us to be in or fighting in Syria. They are not an ally. We don't even have diplomatice relations with them. We closed the Syrian Embassy in DC last year and sent their diplomats back to Syria.

Russia on the other hand has been an ally of Syria for over 50 years....and Russia was also responsible for Assad giving up his chem weapons.....which is why we went into Syria in the first place.

It's a damn civil war. Obama....go home.

It’s not even a true civil war. Many of the so- called “ free Syrian army” islamist splinter groups have been trained, armed , and imported from abroad by the CIA . This is not an indigenous uprising, it is a fomented Sunni revolt against secular government.

There is no authority for us to be in or fighting in Syria. They are not an ally.

The problem is allowing Russia to become a major player in the region, and allowing Ian's military to start stretching its legs now that they are no longer surrounded. (Plus Obama considers any Muslim rebel a close personal friend. Ahem.)

I understand the wise notion of not wanting our troops to get involved in every civil war and stupid skirmish... but there are ancillary consequences to keep in mind.
