American Decline: Years of diminishing U.S. power under President Obama have brought us to today's historic Mideast dilemma: proving our willingness to shoot at Russian forces or keep our tail between our legs.

-snip-

Carly Fiorina, whose debate performances have propelled her into the top tier of 2016 Republican presidential hopefuls, on Wednesday told Fox News' Sean Hannity that the U.S. should establish a no-fly zone around U.S.-backed Syrian rebels.

Would that mean using "force against Russian jets?" Fiorina hoped not, but added: "If it does come to that, I think we must be prepared."

Nuclear-armed U.S. and Russia are now at risk of fighting one another. Step back and look at the big picture.

Are you kidding me? Russia is actually killing IS IS scum. Let them kill them!

The official US story is that Russia killed the moderate militant Mohammadan rebels, who were trained and equipped by the US at a cost of about $50 million each. They weren't ISIS; they were Al Qaeda, and the US government has always been aligned with Al Qaeda. (I used to think that 1984 was about Russia.)

Maybe they don’t want WWIII, but Obama’s policies are leading us in that direction.

Fiorina is crazy. I think America has had enough war. Whatever happened to speaking softly and carrying a big stick? Hint: the big stick was supposed to be a deterrent, held in reserve, and used only when a VITAL national interest was threatened. No. Fiorina apparently has no problem risking a regional war against Russia over Syria, and at what price? The blood of other Americans. You won’t see the politicians and their families lining up to deploy. That’s for sure.

Indeed, Russia keeps claiming NATO is strong and aggressive when in fact we have not the capability anymore to take on Russia like we did in the 60s or 70s. Fiorina is posting us as strong capable aggressors which is absolutely false and plays in Putin’s hands

Yes, lets go to WW3 over a middle eastern backwater.

“I urge everyone to use civil disobedience in refusing to participate in another bankers’ war.”

The word is getting out there. Already I think there are ample grounds for some Nuremburg style tribunals for this administration and its supporters from both parties.
