Their was a guy in uniform talking about the training he gives to schools (Seattle area). I forget exactly but it was run/hide/shelter if you are away from the shooter. Not just the old duck and cover. (Sitting Duck?) Then he showed once in shelter (a locked room away from the shooting), be prepared to assault the guy with an object. Good place to hide is low and next to the door - the bad guy will be looking farther into the room upon entering it.
He said he trains the teachers and kids that if the shooter is in your room - grab whatever is handy, but you ALL have to rush him as soon as he shows up. And that they need to PRACTICE doing it.
If they hadn't, people like President Obama wouldn't be able to use Australia as the example he wants to. But this is another example people should be shown.
