President Obama was visibly frustrated when he spoke about a shooting at a community college in Oregon Thursday, saying, "our thoughts and prayers are not enough."
"It's not enough. It does not capture the heartache and grief and anger that we should feel. And it does nothing to prevent this carnage from being inflicted someplace else in America," the president said in a statement from the White House briefing room.
He argued, "The notion that gun laws don't work, or just will make it harder for law-abiding citizens, and criminals will still get their guns - it's not borne out by the evidence," indicating that other countries like Great Britain and Australia have been more successful in enacting laws to prevent mass shootings.
"Somebody somewhere will comment and say, 'Obama politicized this issue,'" the president said. "This is something we should politicize. It is relevant to our common life together, to the body politic."(continued)

Obama does not like bitter gun clingers.
He wants to make America a gun free zone.
The Oregon shooting happened in a gun free zone, as well as many others.
What could go wrong?
The response should be repeal gun free zone laws.
I have a question I have not seen asked, What was the racial makeup of those shot? I’ve seen no mention of it anywhere in the news.
Yet “thoughts and prayers” DO WORK.
It seems that a tight fist of control has been clamped down
on this whole story. Why? I wonder . . . .
Probably another spike in gun purchases after the “Gun Salesman of the Year” - Obama opens his big fly-infested mouth about gun control again.
Obama’s right on this one. His thoughts and prayers are not enough. He needs to stop his war on Christians, as well. His war on Christians is what encourages bigots such as this to murder innocent unarmed people.
There are some reports (haven’t seen this mornings ‘news’) that say he’s akin to the lyin’ king being half white/half black. And a muslim convert who targeted Christians. Sounds a lot closer to bein’ a lyin’ king son than tresgone martin was. Guess we’ll learn more today about how the gun(s) made him do it and need to be melted down right away. Or something.

I wrote a letter to the editor to our local lib rag and made an offer to all the gun grabbers. I said please contact me and I will have two signs made up for you. One sign for the front of your house and one for the back.

I had no takers. But I sure got a lot of supporting letters.
