The shooter at Umpqua Community College on Thursday asked people to state their religion and then started firing, one student said.
Kortney Moore, an 18-year-old, told the News Review she was sitting in her writing class when a bullet blasted through the window. She saw her teacher shot in the head then noticed that the shooter was in the classroom.

No, didn’t say race. Now talking about that there had to be a connection to this school for him to have come all the way from Mid-West to Seattle to So, Oregon. Now questioning — get this — how could he have purchased 3 guns ‘cause he is only 20 and you have to be 21 to legally purchase a gun.
They are also questioning Why no name has been mentioned yet. I’d say maybe ‘cause they want to check out his home first.
I wouldn’t be surprised if they deny it altogether, and say it never happened, the reports were wrong.

Id call this shooting a “Hate Crime” since he targeted and shot Christians..I think they are not saying his name because he must have converted to Islam that is my theory

Yes, it’s always struck me as odd that people could be so angry at someone they don’t believe exists.
Roseburg is overwhelmingly Christian with many homeschooled and several Christian private schools. So a counterculture of atheist militancy on the internet wouldn’t be surprising. There is a sizable underclass of meth addicts / manufacturing and street people due to I-5 going through town. The counterculture is as strong here as anywhere else with drug induced mental illness. It’s a small percent of the population but it’s definitely there.
