A male student killed multiple people at a shooting today at a community college in Roseburg, Oregon, authorities said.
The shooter is now dead, police said. The shooter's identity has not been publicly released, though Oregon Gov. Kate Brown announced that he was 20 years old.
Gov. Brown’s spokeswoman Kristen Grainger confirmed that the shooter was a student at the school.
Grainger also said that the number of fatalities and injuries totaled 20 people, but would not specify how many were dead and how many were injured. Neither the sheriff's office nor the governor's office or the state police would specify the number of fatalities, though earlier today State Police Lt. Bill Fugate who spoke to ABC affiliate KATU that at least seven people were killed.
"It is believed there is only one shooter who is no longer a threat," the Oregon state police said in a statement. "There is no current threat to the community."

The BBC have this as their top story, naturally they’re going to town on it.
They say that the gunman was asking people what religion they were and that he was 20 years-old, that appears to be all the information they’ve released.
These massacres have nothing to do with guns, they have everything to do with mental illness, the gunmen are mentally ill, if it wasn’t a gun, it’d be a knife, or a chainsaw or something. As the saying goes, guns don’t kill people, people kill people.
I feel awful for the innocent victims and their families.
My guess, single white male, lives with his mother, liberally bent and mentally ill.
That sick SOB. His mentor the "Reverend" Jeremiah Wright would characterize this event as "the chickens coming home to roost" since Christians were singled out for payment of the ultimate price. "Not G-d Bless America, G-d Damn America...."
Being the fascist he is, he'll express indignity over this tragedy as part of his effort to separate us from our G-d-given rights, and to pretend the Constitution doesn't guarantee any. But he would never acknowledge that if only ONE of those victims had held a concealed carry weapon, this may have been -- no, probably would have been entirely averted.
Meanwhile Obama is silent on the butchering for profit of the unborn. When he was in the Illinois senate he advocated for partial birth abortion, which is a more convenient way to murder the child and preserve the organs for cultivation, as we have seen from the PP undercover videos.

And yet we still don’t know a name..this is a small town where “Everyone knows everybody” so the students know who the shooter was..and if its true that he shot them in the head after being asked “Are you a Christian” no wonder the media isn’t reporting his name..or his Muslim name
