That may be so but why didn't the good students have guns to kill the evil doer? Here in Texas, no one I know respects the "Gun Free" zone signs. That's why things like this are rare in these parts.

A couple of facts about Roseburg and Douglas County where I live. The county politics are generally conservative. There is an active meth manufacturing subculture, mostly white and former timber industry workers which has been ravaged. There is a large population of street people due to our location on I-5. The local police and sheriff deputies are quite professional and keep the subculture under general control. My daughter who works for a health industry educational department was often at meetings, etc. at UCC.
We know a couple of UCC instructors and families with kids at the school. We are obviously praying for them. There aren’t many minorities but like my wife most are East Asian, some black families well integrated into the community and some Hispanic mostly employed with families. A racial aspect shouldn’t be expected or a religious motive although anything is possible. I’d expect a white kid with drug issues. We’ll know pretty soon.
Keep Douglas County in your prayers.

I think most the liberals are in Eugene and Portland. There’s a lot of meth users in the southern rural part.

Apparently they apprehended the sob from the twitter commentary. I won’t say what I would do with this POS were it in my power to do so as I don’t wish to feed the frenzy.
From what I see, this is a conservative area, not some wide eyed lefty hole. I note from a picture of those leaving the campus, it seems to be mostly a white area.
I agree with those who assume we have some kind of drug infused nut cake responsible.

True and consider that an act like this has NEVER been committed by a Christian (or Jewish) Conservative in the Republic's long history. The high-profile presidential assassinations or attempts have ALL been done by leftists including DemonKKKrat John Wilkes Booth, marxist Lee Harvey Oswald, liberal John Hinckley, 'RAT Squeaky Fromme and so on.
