White Europeans kicking the crap out of Islamic militants.. I’m still having a hard time trying to figure out why that’s a bad thing

If I’m not mistaken, it was about securing Syrian territory for a Saudi natural gas pipeline to Turkey. It would be an alternative energy source for Europe in lieu of Russian natural gas. Follow the money......

She thinks this gives her swagger. No wonder she crashed not one but two companies.

She’s done for. Trump is leaning towards isolationism. We have so much more to deal with things closer and problematic, like Mexico and South America.

I agree with you. Russia is securing her energy monopoly and no better time than now.

Which US-backed anti-Assad rebels? The ones turning their weapons over to al-Nusra or the five we spent a half-billion $ to train?

No kidding. We already have a POTUS who doesn’t have a clue, but thanks anyway, Carly.

I am standing here beside myself breathless with joy at her leadership. Be prepared to use force against the Russians, and be prepared to hopefully not use force. Such Genius!

I had always figured that Islam would eventually meet its end at the hands of either the Russians or the ChiComs.

WHY is it so important we take out Assad, to the point we risk another global war?

For the same reason it was "so important" to take out Ghadaffi in Libya. Obama wants the gates to power for islamist radicals thrown open. He got his wish in Libya as ISIS has gained a foothold there, but the Russians have laid down a marker in Syria and aren't letting him f*** with Assad any further.

I haven’t posted on here in a long time, but I had to post agreement with those who are saying Fiorina is insane.

All the media reports on Syria is about either ISIS, Assad, or ‘rebels’. And the media usually reports on these ‘rebels’ in some positive light. Which is absurdity bordering on madness.

The vast majority of the so-called ‘rebels’ in Syria are either al Qaeda outright(al-Nusra) or al Qaeda allied groups.

Even the ‘rebels’ backed by the US(as pushed by McCain and his ilk), have proven to be either al Qaeda allies at worst, or so infiltrated by al Qaeda(al Nusra) as to be rendered completely ineffective and irrelevant as a potential spoil to ISIS or al Qaeda ambitions in the region.

The way I see it, we(the United States, led by our incompetent Secretary of State and President along with foreign policy idiots McCain and Grahmnesty) are currently trying to turn Syria into a failed state in the mold of Libya by funding and supplying jihadists.

And the Russians are now killing those jihadists, and will likely extract major concessions from Assad in any post-conflict Syria(should he survive).

And frankly what troubles me, is when comparing the actions our govt is taking in this conflict with what the Russians are doing, I find myself thinking the Russians are doing the sane thing.

And while we might not be DIRECTLY funding/supplying al Qaeda(al Nusra) in Syria, I have no real doubt that the Saudis and the other Gulf states ARE doing just that. And yet we turn a blind eye and are allying ourselves to them to help those Gulf states achieve THEIR goals.

Also judging by the actual timeline of events over the last couple years, it wouldn’t be surprising to me to find out that the largest suppliers of ISIS turned out to be the Saudis and the other Sunni Gulf states as a foil to the Iranians in Iraq and Syria after the early US pullout left a power vacuum.

Bottomline is, IMO, why the hell are we getting involved over there? Particularly on the side of the Sunni islamists?

Insanity? Idiocy? Ignorance? She is seriously advocating starting world war III against nations that could be our natural allies (France is on Russias side to, if she hadn’t read between the lines) against the would be islamic caliphate, to bail out Al-Queda affiliates, to achieve what strategic goal? It will just further destabilize the region.
