Too young to smoke, but old enough to vote for Democrats.

Maybe Ms. Warren should be paying reparations to smokers. It was her race that gave them tobacco.

Because before 21 you are not wise enough to choose for yourself if you want to smoke...

But they're "wise" enough to vote.

Why does the federal government need to get into this?

I’m totally against smoking, but there is just no way it should ever be regulated by the feds.

I’d love to see the day when the US is stripped of all laws and bureaucracies that are not tailored to fit the Constitution.

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if Congress goes into session and there’s nothing to talk about and they all just go home?

Indians, fake or otherwise, owe us reparations for the decades of damage done by tobacco.

oh, now that will stop them, just like the drug laws stop the illicit use of drugs. Apparently the DC politicians aren’t getting their cut on the tobacco industry money.

First, that will be as effective as when the age was raised to 18. Second, it's incomprehensible what these liberals think they are doing. They want everyone to quit smoking while having built enormous entitlement programs on the backs of smokers!

Of course we all know that entitlement programs never disappear, so who will be the next target for the continued funding of these boondoggles? Perhaps 'Meathead Reiner" and all his Hollywood socialist ilk will put their cash in to pay? Of course not they only contribute their valuable time to force us fund their ideals.

Why 21 squaw Fauxkkkahauntus?

Must have something to do with her Indian heritage and casino operations!

IF they were telling the truth, they would set the age at 65!

"Get rid of the 19 year old draft registration first. Or move the age to vote and draft to age 21. Make it for females too."

Leave the draft registration (needs discussion) but move the voting age to 21 for all citizens. A 5 year moratorium for new citizens on voting for any office, especially POTUS....ID cards are universal for the purchase of travel tickets, library, car, truck, boat, hunting, marriage, licenses all require some sort of ID....make that the law for voting here in the USA.

Changing the voting age would require a constitutional amendment--the 26th amendment set 18 as the minimum age.

Besides, why should citizens have to wait until they are 21 when non-citizens can vote at 18?
