Erdogan: Turkey will not allow 'fait accompli situations' next to borders

Turkey will not allow "terror to take root" or "fait accompli situations" next to its borders, President Tayyip Erdogan said on Thursday, in an apparent reference to Russian air strikes in neighboring Syria.

Erdogan made the comment in a parliamentary speech in Ankara.

The Russian air force began air strikes in Syria on Wednesday, targeting areas near the cities of Homs and Hama in the west of the country, where President Bashar al-Assad's forces are fighting a number of insurgent groups, though not Islamic State, which is based mostly in the north and east.

I keep coming back to Putin's statement on 60 Minutes the other night, obviously directed straight at Obama.

"...DO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU HAVE DONE?!"

ObaMao is only doing what President Jarrett tells him to do.

The President of the United States (on the left) with her dummy.

I have no idea whether or not ObaMao is a Muslim, but I'm reasonably certain that his chief handler is.

The Turks may be telegraphing a major attack on the Kurds is forthcoming

Obama’s axis of Turkey/ Saudi/USA simply cannot have those brave people battling ISIS as part of the Russian antiterror coalition

Will the eu really be able to stomach being part of this if it occurs? It will not be humane warfare

At the last minute, Turkey denied our troops passage into Iraq, and now allah the sudden, we should care what Turkey wants?

I don't think so. Stabbing us in the back is an action that will have consequences.

We should have split Iraq along ethnic lines and rewarded Turkey’s treachery with a newly minted Kurdistan on its border.

Remember that Turkey is part of NATO and when Mr Erdogan attacks northern Syria aka Syrian Kurdistan he will expect NATO support

Barry’s JV team will see this as a good thing because it pulls the Kurds off battling ISIS and gives NATO cover for attacking Assad from the north

Support for a war of convenience HE launches? Its supposed to only be if he’s attacked. But that rat pack will probably start it and then claim al should come to their aid. F em, not worth one American kid or dollar. I don’t even care about Turkey.

One car bomb goes off in Turkey, one police station or border station is attacked by “ PKK”, one shell is lobbed into Turkey , and Erdogan can use the “ legitimate claims of self defense” card

Not hard to arrange

I totally agree. It can still happen because it is not yet the end of history.
