Exemptions? He’d better start looking to give families with children big exemptions; as Bergoglio says, (paraphrased): “Reproduce or migrants”

he did mention mortgage deduction in the speech today but my opinion is that the tax code is unlawful confiscation. given that his plan is not so bad.

RE: I’d also get rid of payroll taxes

If you do this, Medicare and Social Security go bankrupt soon.

RE: a married couple goes from making say, $48k/year to $51k/year. They’re gonna bitch up a storm that their net take home has taken a $5k hit under Trump’s plan.

Let’s calculate that using Trump’s tax plan BEFORE and AFTER the salary raise for this married couple

BEFORE: $48,0000 ( 0 taxes ). They pay nothing ( I question that, but it is what it is ).

AFTER: $51,000

Married Filers have the first $50,000 income NOT TAXED.

Married Filers pay 10% of $50,001 to $100,000

$51,000 - $50,000 = $1,000 X 10% = $100 <— TOTAL FEDERAL TAX

So the married couple making jointly $51,000 pay $100.00 in Federal Taxes.

So nope, they don’t get a $5K hit, they get a $100 hit.

And if they’re gonna bitch and moan over that mere $100.00, tell them to leave this country. All they want is to take and not become good citizens who have a stake in the running of this country.

If we believe in an idea we need to fight for it. That’s what Trump will do - he’ll fight to make this happen. That’s what we need to do too.

Revolts aren't won by votes.
