We need to know how these people think, both on the air (which we can hear) as well as in person/personal conversations.
Some of the craziest people I’ve ever met, as well as some of the shrewdest communists, came off as very nice people (Saul Alinsky, I.F. Stone, Rev. Chester Wickwire - the Johns Hopkins Un. chaplain who was a friend and speaking sponsor of Soviet asset Owen Lattimore; the white racist guy from the National Alliance - wore a funny hat at a congressional hearing - think he was J. B. Stoner; and some congresspersons).
I’d bet that Rachel Maddow would be a very nice person in person, as opposed to Ed Schulz, Larry the Nut, and Keith Olbermann (who was said to be very nice when he was doing sports).
I’ve caught a glimpse of him now, and it wasn’t pretty. That man is mega fat.
You should look at a picture of the Socialist German Vice-Chancellor Sigmar Gabriel, he’s nearly as fat as Chris Christie.

The problem, I think, is that the Left is like that spoiled child who goes completely ballistic when told “no.” For too long, the reasonable denizens of the Western World have been pussyfooting around the child, afraid of an eruption, when they should have been spanking the hell out of it and sending it to its room. To clarify, the producers were extremely nice and professional - they may or may not be liberal like Thom. Thom was normally pleasant, but he had one guest host who was an ass. I did an entire hour with him on Obama Care a few years ago.
Most of my hits with Thom were like one ten minute segment.
The whole show, including the “news” they have in between segments, is just like state run radio in the old Soviet Union. Pretty much pure propaganda. (you hear this while you’re on hold waiting for your segment). Thom would normally ask about a 200 word question - which means I would have to dismantle the phony assumptions in the question before I could answer...because they were always loaded with bull before the question ever came around.
Thom’s followers were also good for a few childish and rude tweets at me after every appearance too. Hadn’t done one in a while.
So, a global warming advocate wants to silence opposition to his argument. Clear evidence that we are winning the argument.
I like to ask them three questions:
1-Please explain how solar activity was ruled out as a possible cause of warming, as it must in order to point the finger at CO2 alone?
2-How do you explain that, of the approximately one degree increase in temp during the 20th century, 75% of that increase occurred prior to 1940?
3-Have you always favored socialism over capitalism, or did you become anti-capitalist as a result of AGW?

I went to the CPUSA website. Global warming is #1 on their list to destroy capitalism.

I have detected a trend for leftist radio talk show hosts to vary sharply leftward towards insanity (Ed Schultz) is a perfect example, after a while in order to keep their lunatic fringe listeners base.
Thus under a seemingly benign, pleasant demeanor lies a potential far-left emotionally charged volcano of hate just waiting to explode.
Other than that, they probably are kind to their pet scorpions.
