Romney: Trump won't be GOP nominee
Politico ^ | 9/30/15 | ELIZA COLLINS

Posted on 09/30/2015 10:21:55 AM PDT by jimbo123

Mitt Romney says he’ll support whoever the Republican candidate is, but he’s not going to go out and order a Make America Great Again hat anytime soon.

“I will support the Republican nominee. I don’t think that’s going to be Donald Trump,” the GOP's 2012 candidate said. “My party has historically nominated someone who's a mainstream conservative.”

Yea, Planned Parenthood pays Stericycle pretty well to incinerate the children parts that they can’t sell. And there are the kickbacks from all the laws he passed on their behalf.

“mainstream conservative” is an oxymoron.

Didn’t work with Dole, McCain, or Mittens—they rejected True Conservatives like Newt. We went down this path THREE Times. This tells us that the GOPe (the RINO Party) plans to dump Trump with some sneaky last minute trick (The Republican Party can only nominate people who do not have a name that starts with a T or some other delegate trick). Only Superdelegates who have two votes can elect the Nominee —andd the must include Media People lead by Megyn Kelly. They sank Hillary with the Democrats in 2008. When they do this (not if but when) They will force their man (or women) down our throats. Trump better be ready with a “Plan B”.

Bishop Willard’s prophecy is probably good news for Trump.

Romney is a true dirtbag on any level or topic one cares to examine.

If anybody can spot a Democrat it’s Mitt and in the case of Trump, Mitt’s right.

"a mainstream conservative"

Is that something like 'severely conservative'?

Or 'compassionate conservative'?

Or as Jeb trial-ballooned a few months ago 'a reform conservative'?

==

That is partly the problem with 'conservative' -- they try to redefine it to fit themselves.

Yea but he still has his defenders here. I had another one this morning making excuses for him over Barry. Some people just refuse to see the inherent danger of the enemy within.

Within 24 hours of the great fail, he reverted and proved his whole campaign was a lie. Since he has done all he can to torpedo conservatives and maintain Barry’s control. And liberal governance.

Thats better than Barry? Not even. Evil comes in a variety of colors.

So only republicans who are members of the country club are worthy of the GOPe nomination mittens? Is that what you're saying? If a candidate doesn't get wall street/k street seal of approval that candidate is not considered viable?

Luckily, Trump doesn't need nor want your tainted money. Maybe you can buy another candidate, like ¡JEB!, rube-io, or pump and dump fiorina, or a veritable cornucopia of hedge fund pimps.

“My party has historically nominated someone who’s a mainstream conservative.”

-—Which is why we have Obama today! No more Romney’s, McCains, Doles, Bush’s, or any other Republican Dem who continually sell us all out

Misleading headline from Politico. Romney did *not* say “Trump won’t be GOP nominee.” He said, “I don’t think it will be Trump.” There are a lot of people who do not think Trump will be the nominee. Big deal.

It’s time we had some non-democrats with backbones running the country.

Mitt did fight hard against other repubblicans back in 2012 but when it was time to thump Obama he folded like a yard sale lawn chair.

“I will support the Republican nominee. I don’t think that’s going to be Donald Trump,” the GOP's 2012 candidate said.

Romney also thought that rolling over for Obama was the key to the White House, didn't he? I'd think that if the Republicans were to nominate someone who actually wanted the job that they would do better.
