While I agree with that sentiment, I don’t like being made to look like ignorant wimps on the world stage. I guess I should be used to it by now, though.

I am deeply saddened in the knowledge that our honorable veterans and fallen from WWII fought so hard to keep fascism at bay so that, 7o years after the fact, it could neuter a once great nation to the point where RUSSIA became the world's "DADDY" because the morons who live in this country CHOSE weakness and incompetence to drive us directly into the ground.

The pentagon better be careful, all this military talk could impact the scheduled integration of gays, transgendered, and female foot soldiers.

The Pentagon needs to stop their damn whining... they still have women in combat units, medical care for transgenders in waiting, rules about ‘respecting’ rape cultures.

Context? Having spent my share of time in the Pentagon: Two star or below said it, then no surprise they are likely just venting their frustation with this administration, as they often do. Three star or above said it, then I would be interested in knowning what prompted it and who said it.

Not necessarily. If you're dealing with Russians, or making statements for their consumption, it helps to use language they understand.
