It came from a Louisiana congressman - likely a friend of Scalise who wants to run for Speaker.
I read that same thing a while ago, but it was in an article praising him and expressing sadness at his desire to leave Washington. We can only hope and pray he changes his mind.

Yeah, the GOPe is in this like it’s a “fight to the death.” In every district where there’s a GOPer, there needs to be an alternative conservative candidate. I want to puke every time McCarthy tries to imply that he’s conservative. His nose has been so far up Boner’s a$$, I’m surprised he’s still able to breathe.
