Rand Paul: Ted Cruz ‘Pretty Much Done For’ in Senate
ROLL CALL ^ | Sept. 29, 2015 | Niels Lesniewski

Posted on 09/30/2015 6:28:12 AM PDT by McGruff

Sen. Rand Paul on Tuesday said fellow Republican presidential candidate Ted. Cruz is “done for” in the Senate.

“Ted has chosen to make this really personal and chosen to call people dishonest in leadership and call them names, which really goes against the decorum and also against the rules of the Senate, and as a consequence, he can’t get anything done legislatively,” Paul told Fox News Radio. “He is pretty much done for and stifled and it’s really because of personal relationships, or lack of personal relationships, and it is a problem.”

In psychology, they call this projection. Rand is projecting onto Ted his own situation running for President. Poor little Rand is “done for” and now appears to be taking a scorched earth approach. Trump pegged this twerp just right at the outset of the last debate!

One senator nearly beat another to death with a cane on the floor of the Senate.... I am so tired of hearing about the decorum of the Senate. Its all a show in public. Politics is blood sport, not nerf football.

I guess one is “done for” when one tells the truth up there in The Wicked City.

I agree. Oh he may be done with the Senate (after seeing how it is conducted and its just a social club, you go along regardless or your considered an outcast. After seeing the way they perform against the people that put them there, I can understand why hes done. Its not the way he operates. He’ll be a fantastic President and its time we had one of them!

...and you’re pretty much done for in the GOP presidential race, Rand. Ted wins, you lose.

Rand, thanks for letting us know that most of those in the Senate, like you, would put their fragile egos ahead of the interests of the country when another Senator hurts their feelings.

Maybe some compassionate voters will help them out by giving them some time off to recover after the next primary.

Hey, Rand Paul. Texans say when he's done, not you. Here's a little Ray Wylie Hubbard ditty you can cry yourself to sleep with every night as you wallow in your 1% polling numbers.

We're from Texas: Screw You"

There, there... sweetie... It'll be okay. If you hurry along, it might not be too late to get yourself reelected as a state Senator.

It’s funny. I just finished this article (linked at Drudge) and then came to FR wondering if I would see it here. Paul may have a point as far as Cruz having damaged his standing in the Senate. That might be a problem for a Senator, but Cruz is hoping to be the President. People who are mad at and frustrated with Congress don’t care about decorum. They want someone willing to tell the truth and fight. I also note that the “head liar” in the House just bailed out. I would say that Senator Cruz’s concern ought to be broadening his appeal beyond evangelicals and Tea Party conservatives. Personally I like his message and style, but he’s got to find a way to bring in a lot broader range of voter to win in the general.

Cruz speaks the truth; and that can end your career in the Circus Tent. Rand is a crackpot like his daddy.

And the spineless Rand Paul thus curries favor from his fellow Kentucky senator, the corrupt tyrant, Mitch McConnell.

Ah, so lying & cheating by RINO’s/GOPe should be passively accepted? All for maintaining the “decorum” and relationships in the Senate?

Sorry, then the Senate needs to be blown to smithereens......with the bold truth-telling that the one man there with real integrity dares to reveal - all by himself.

The definition of brave, IMHO.......
