HOW OBAMA’S ARAB SPRING CREATED THE ISLAMIC STATE

Question is was it intentional?

Highest number of votes not percentage. Big difference. He has NEVER polled above 50% of the population, and now languishes barely at 40%.

Obama won in 2008 with 52.86% and in 2012 with 51.01% of the voters.

What President has won more than 50% of the total population?

You can try to minimize Obama's victories, but he won overwhelmingly in votes and electoral votes. Not only the level of Reagan or LBJ, but significant nonetheless.

“Destroying ISIS” is not a strategy.

Really? What is our strategic objective?

They could be terrorists, but they are not part of the broader ISIS movement that threatens the entire world. Big difference.

He would not receive such authorization.

I think he's gotten plenty of support from Congress on his plan to replace secular leaders with radicals in the region, it just hasn't been made public. Most in Congress share Obama's vision of the destruction of Israel, as do most liberals in general. Most liberals also despise Christians, and they see the rise of the Caliphate as a move forward in their progressive world.

LOL. Yeah Putin is elected just like Castro is. They had elections in Poland when I lived there during the days of Solidarnosc’. You can’t be that naive or uninformed.

According to what Rush just said, the ones attacked by Putin today were being aided by the CIA and provided with US anti-tank rockets.

6 picky, picky issues where no damage done to the US than just hurt our feelings that they don't cow tow to our meddling.

Have you read Kissinger's take on Russia (link below) or some of Pat Buchanan's articles? Have you watched Charlie Roses' interview of Putin Monday? You need to get to know both sides of the issues not just all of the alleged accusations.

Thanks for the list.

#1 Read Kissinger
#2 Russia did not supply Iran with air missiles. There's power plants being built all over the world.
#3 Their was no Hamas or Hezzbola in Syria until Obama started supporting the rebels.
#4 Georgia was another Ukraine type attack threatening Russia's sovereignty.
#5 Did we ever return a Russian defecter to Russia?
#6 Common practice. Testing borders, No big deal.

"I think he's gotten plenty of support from Congress on his plan to replace secular leaders with radicals in the region, it just hasn't been made public"

Then let them take a public vote on the Authorization for Use of Force.

Absent that, we should hope they come to their senses and get US forces out of harms way.

There is absolutely no legal basis, US or International Law, for US Forces to be engaged in Syria...another Sovereign Country that Obama decided, unilaterally, to destroy.

You need to get better informed about what actions a President can take without Congressional approval and for what length of time. Google the War Powers Resolution.

There are multiple potential sources of authority in U.S. law for military action. As commander in chief, the president derives authority to use military force in certain circumstances from Article II of the Constitution. Congressional authorizations for the use of military force allow the president to lead a military campaign consistent with the scope defined by Congress. The War Powers Resolution was an attempt to restore the original constitutional balance on war powers between the legislative and executive branches. But in practice, it has afforded the president greater latitude to use military force at the outset of a conflict.

You have a point without substantiation. You just don’t accept the destruction of ISIS as a strategic objective. It is.

Putin knows that there will be no penalty to pay - except maybe receiving a diplomatically phrased scolding from the WH. Putin is free to pretty much do as he pleases

One valuable service Putin will unintentionally provide to the4 American People: He will expose the breath and extent of the US Secret War in Syria.

It will ALSO expose the scum we have enabled with weapons and money...and how it runs counter to everything the American People THINK is US Interests and Policy.

Obama and Kerry are FREAKING OUT, not at the prospect of a policy defeat (that's certain), but at the prospect of being exposed for their crimes against the American People.

What Obama wants is "law", and pretty much everyone in government feels that way. No one wants to be accused of being racist or an Islamophobe, so no one's brave enough to stop Obama's actions. Obama has "changed" the way our government works.

LOL. I am constantly amazed on FR by the apologists for Putin and Russia. Why you defend an ex-KGB agent and corrupt dictator who acts against the interests of the US is beyond me. And then you have the nerve to insult my intelligence with phony assertions. For example,

Russia did not supply Iran with air missiles.

Here's why Russia selling S-300 advanced missile systems to Iran is such a big deal

If you want to play with stats, you really ought to take a statistics course first.
