Not surprising. Trump treated the construction workers well for 30 years.I think this is a big part of this.
There may have been a lot of feedback from members, shop stewards, and heads of locals that Trump has treated union personnel fairly on his sites.
I know from personal experience that this counts for something with the trades.
They know which are the good jobs and which are the bad ones.
And they know how to treat the bad ones.
This is pretty awesome--unions are almost always lockstep with the Dems.

I am hopeful. IMHO, the Teamsters will wait and see if Trump’s campaign rights itself. His candidacy is going through some growing pains.
Teamsters are union members, but they don’t want to see the nation destroyed. They’re not like the government workers unions. They have a stake in the private economy succeeding and don’t buy into Political Correctness.

Yes, almost too good to believe. My son-in-law is a son of a long time union worker at GM, and this won’t sway him, but if Trumka can swing to Trump, he’ll bring thousands with him.
