Rand Paul: Ted Cruz Can’t Get Anything Done Legislatively Because .....
Fox News ^ | 9/29/2015 | Staff

Posted on 09/29/2015 2:42:30 PM PDT by VinL

2016 GOP presidential candidate Senator Rand Paul (R-KS) called into Kilmeade & Friends and talked about Senator Ted Cruz being rebuffed on the senate floor by republicans who failed to allow him a roll call vote,....“Ted has chosen to make this really personal and chosen to call people dishonest in leadership and call them names which really goes against the decorum and also against the rules of the senate, and as a consequence he can’t get anything done legislatively. He is pretty much done for and stifled and it’s really because of personal relationships, or lack of personal relationships, and it is a problem. I approach things a little different, I am still just as hardcore in saying what we are doing , I just chose not to call people liars on the senate floor and it’s just a matter of different perspectives on how best to get to the end result.”

Would you say Mitch McConnell has let you down?

“I think I would say we have disagreements on tactics on how to do it and I stand up forcefully for what I think is right and I try not to make it personal. So I will stand up, I stood up on the NSA, I stood up on Planned Parenthood, I forced a vote on Planned Parenthood in August but I try not to make it personal and I think in not making it personal and understanding other people have different perspectives and really this is a democratic republic, you have to woo people, you can’t hit them over the head.”

What kind of genius comes up with a plan to elect lesser evils no matter what to get conservative government?

The Conservative (yea right) voter.

Hey, Rand, click the heels of your elevator shoes together and get yourself out of Oz before you melt into a puddle of slop.

Ted Cruz and Mike Lee are all by themselves. Time and time again, he gets almost no support from other GOP Senators to change the status quo.

Then, his Republican colleagues loudly bellowed “no” when Cruz sought a voice vote, a second repudiation that showed how little support Cruz has: Just one other GOP senator — Utah’s Mike Lee — joined with Cruz as he was overruled by McConnell and his deputies. It was the second time that Cruz had been denied a procedural courtesy that’s routinely granted to senators in both parties. The first came after he called McConnell a liar this summer.

you remember back in 2014 when all the tea party hopefuls running against the GOPe talked about themselves as helping “Cruz, Lee and Paul” fight? I guess we can fully and utterly drop Rand from that list now.

The Paul political family has always been on the lookout for their Muslim allies. It’s no surprise that Rand is willing to butcher innocent unborn Americans in the name of the evil moon god.

As far as I’m concerned, 98 senators are traitors to this nation. If Cruz becomes President, his first action should be to give them the treatment we gave the Rosenbergs for betrayal.

Decorum? How can these idiots not realize we are at war? And this is the last chance before the war breaks hot?

Never before has so little a man imploded so massively for so little gain. I hope Kayntuckians were smart enough to ban his re-election as Senator once he declared for Prez.

KY, please fire him AND bmitch.

The senate deserves no decorum.

You have a point. I like Rand too. There are some people I’d happily support for certain offices that I might not support for others.

For example, I think Rudy Giuliani was a GREAT Mayor of New York — the best in my lifetime (and I was born and raised in that area.) That doesn’t mean I’d want Rudy to be President, or possibly even Senator or Governor. But I’d put him back in Gracie Mansion in a heartbeat.

If we had a Congress full of Rand Pauls, we’d be a lot better off than we are with the current bunch. Does that mean Rand Paul should be President? Not necessarily.

Yeah, Pander Paul signed up as a deputy on Team McConnell early on and was instrumental in returning Mitch to his Senate seat ...

Not just KY people to blame. Look at all the abject morons that screamed and screamed how we just had to elect the two KY liberals because the Dem was worse.

I see people daily here still praising Rand and making excuses for electing libs to the GOP because of some bastardized fantasy that a Dem siding 100% with Barry is worse than a Republican siding 100% with Barry.

The problem isn’t them. It’s “us” and the unicorn crap we feed ourselves to keep liberals in power rather than heaven forbid, do something better.

Just as I expected. Like his father, he’s a stalking horse for the establishment. His father gave Romney a pass while going after Gingrich and Santorum; he’s going after the only conservative lawmaker in the bunch.

Rand Paul is a good and decent guy who fights everyday in the Senate for our personal freedoms and I wish we had 50 more just like him but he needs to let it go and get out of the race.

Rand Paul is a Mitch nozzle. No thanks.

Cruz has put political correctness & ‘good old boy’ politics aside to tell the unvarnished TRUTH about what is going on in both houses of Congress. The truth evidently hurts ... a lot. There’s much about Rand that I like(d), but he needs to pull up his big boy pants & deal with it - he made a very bad choice with McConnell & he needs to swallow the truth medicine. Disappointing that he can’t admit he’s wrong. I also think he should put 2016 politics aside and look at what is best for the country - it’s not Obama-butt-kissing ala Boehner/McConnell.
