China should be as concerned about India as they are about us. India’s population will soon pass that of China. They will be a formidable foe.
India has also been operating aircraft carriers far longer than China.
I worked with dozens of Indians when we lived overseas.
Then we decided to go to India for a nice long visit.
I was unimpressed by everything except the squalor, poverty, allowed maiming of beggar children (BELOW the joints, the "improvement" by the government), the behavior of the hotel clerks (walking in on us at 3:00 in the morning saying that WE called THEM)...and the SMELL of poverty.
We've been to many, many third world sewers and that smell of poverty is one I will never, ever forget.
Yes, the Taj Majah was beautiful. We weren't allowed to photograph it unless we paid "baksheesh," so my husband slung the camera on his hip, ON, and we had the Taj Majal in living and moving color.
The corruption there is as bad as anywhere in the world...and only China was filthier.
Maybe YOU would trust in those aircraft carriers but I wouldn't and comparing THEIR carriers to China is fairly meaningless to me.
I say let them have at it with each other and lay bets as to whose ship sinks first.
This, of course, has nothing to do with the common folks as I take them as I meet them, some good, some bad, most somewhere in between.
