Top donors are warning Jeb Bush: Shape up or we'll ship out as deposed front-runner continues to

Top donors are warning Jeb Bush: Shape up or we'll ship out as deposed front-runner continues to slide in presidential polls.

Replaced as the Republican presidential front-runner this summer and now steadily sliding in the polls, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush is being lectured by his top donors that he must reverse his ebbing momentum or they will desert his bid for the presidency.

The warnings from Bush's top supporters come in the midst of Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker's exit from the race and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio's rise in the polls.

Ironically, it also comes just as Bush and his political action committee are about to release nearly $8 million in TV ads in critical early states, his campaign tells DailyMail.com.

Bush was the clear front-runner in the race until this summer, when billionaire Donald Trump barged into the field and started to rocket to the top of poll after poll. Trump still leads the field.

Making his first-ever campaign on a national stage, Bush has struggled to overcome GOP primary voters' apparent distaste for establishment candidates in favor of outsiders - a trend evident in Trump's rise to the top as well as the ouster of House Speaker John Boehner by hard-right conservatives.

But he has also suffered from his inexperience with the intense media scrutiny that comes with national campaigns, as he has been forced to walk back and clarify several misstatements that have been amplified in the media.

I do not want another Bush. It isn’t seemly.

Agreed. NOR Clinton. This family dynasty crap is for Monarchies, not a Republic like ours.

It looks increasingly probable that Bush is being rejected by most voters. He doesn't even lead in his own state.

BY THE WAY who are Bush's donors, by name? Any body know?

These “donors” aren't the brightest bulbs in the fixture are they? I certainly wouldn't take fiscal advice from those folks. Might as well have just sent the money to Venezuela it would have been put to better use by those poor folks who ran out of toilet paper!!!!

:-)

One of my friends is a mid level GOP leader. He's a good guy, although a little too GOP-e at times (He likes Cruz, but also likes Kasich). He said six month ago that Bush doesn't have a chance in hell to win.

Thanks. Note the donations on the list do not add up to the claimed 100 million.

I dislike the man intensely, so I have to wonder if I am biased in this observation. He was marketed as the ‘smart one’ in the family... Is it just me, or do others find his comments, delivery, and demeanor to indicate a decidedly low end mediocre intellect?

This accusation was thrown at W quite a bit, but I never saw it. Displays of hubris and ignorance yes, but not a dullard; indeed rather shrewd at times, and sincerely dedicated to what he conceived as the best course forward.

But Yeb... He just comes across as a dullard in all circumstances at all times. Has anyone been around him? I find that these people in the flesh come across very differently than media impressions.

$hapeshifter$ Jeb, the marionette on money strings.

That covers a lot in very few words.

Sorry, what you have seen is his best. He has no fire in the belly—He has no leadership skills at a time when we need real leadership. In a one on one with Putin—he would be in over his head. Its just not there—he was in over his head as Governor of Florida—Not ready for the White House. Nice guy, true, many good in a supervised position—but not an original thinker.

This list might be a bit more thorough, but it keeps timing out for me:

I dislike him too. But I voted for him twice here in Florida. He was an adequate governor, mostly he handled the state well during the summer we had 3 hurricanes.

He’s just ...a nice guy. But not an inspired man. He’s so tied to his vision of how immigration SHOULD be (act of love) that he is unable to see how it IS. I have no idea what made him decide to run. I don’t believe he wants it.
