Rainy day here in Florida...supposed to pour for a few days..flood warnings have been posted in the Bay area.
Any one who is in DC during the summer should definitely plan to visit the Marine Barracks on Friday evenings for the retreat. It's one of the few outdoors things that is bearable in the city in the summer heat.
Little tidbit of interest: Many people first became aware of the USMC Silent Drill team during the opening minutes of "A Few Good Men." However, that was NOT the USMCSDT..it was he Texas A&M SDT cast as Marines. IIRC, the Marine Corps did not cooperate in the making of the film, for obvious reasons..
