“A day of reckoning is coming. Glad I won’t have to be sobbing in my beer when the pipe dream ends.”

True.

And the hard fact is that whatever the other candidates may have to offer, their shtick is not selling. Could be many reasons behind that fact - some principled and some just superficial ... but no matter, if they cannot break out into the top tier in their own party, they are not going to bring in all those needed BESIDES the “base” to win the presidency.

The truth is that Americans are totally fed up with the typical politician - and that is why not one member of the good-ol-boys’ club is catching fire ... Rather they are going down in flames - spin, crash n’ burn ... Not a pretty sight.

I expect that IF Trump actually wins the nomination (and that’s a BIG “if” (for reason that the bottom-feeding saboteurs who work for the GOPe - the establishment would rather loose the election than surrender even a fraction of their power to the “outsider”) the GOPe would actually work to get him defeated - that is how incorrigibly evil the beltway bunch have become. We need a major house cleaning, but I seriously doubt we shall ever have the satisfaction, which is why, in all likelihood (all joking aside) this country is a lost cause.

How is lowering the top rate from 39% to 25% an increase?

You mean like Trump who loves Ari Immanuel (Mayor Rahm’s brother, who Trump really likes)?

Or like Trump “I’m also a believer in taking care of everybody”?

“His love for a socialist-style universal health care system and his alarming obsession with protectionist policies are automatic disqualifiers among free-market conservatives,” Club for Growth’s Chris Chocola said.

Free market conservatives??? He makes it sound like we should envy those 'screw America and Americans at any and every turn if we can make a buck off it crowd'...It's time to end this 'free trade' fiasco...

Something’s fishy about this report. If the writer can't produce a quote, then it's time for that reporter to either explain himself or start working for PMS-NBC.

Et tu, Breitbart?

This is not the end for Trump, but if it were, I would add this:

"My heart is in the coffin there with Caesar ... And I must pause till it come back to me".

Elections come and go. Corruption comes and goes. But excellence unleashed to bless the world? A rare and precious gift. Let the destruction of poverty ride roughshod for four years and ruthlessly smite corruption and apathy for the betterment of all.

May all his foes be trampled underfoot while we of gentle and scholarly ways restore freedom via constitutional amendments.

PS -- just a whimsy. The campaign may prove Carson or Cruz more capable. But backstabbing cretins unleash something from deep inside. I wish them ill and curse them.

Why not do that to business income?

A better question is, why do we do that with personal income?

The universal health care position is horrid.

I don’t mind his “protectionist” policies, however, as I am not a disciple of Ricardo.

I don't always buy what Breitbart says, but Trump has made no secret about this. That's one reason why I have "No Trump" right next to "No Jeb" in my tagline.

When Walker dropped, it made my choice very easy. Cruz.

I listened and I heard nothing about government takeover of healthcare, with the exception of reimbursement to hospitals who care for the poor. Which is how we used to handle healthcare for the poor (public hospitals supported by the taxpayer)

What you describe isn't perfect by any means, but it's a vast improvement over a system where the poor crowd our emergency rooms and get treatment (for non-emergencies) that they never can or intend to pay for. All of the cost gets passed on to patients who can and do pay. Effectively, this means that we already have subsidized healthcare for the poor by default, and it probably costs more than the alternative of subsidizing public hospitals directly with tax dollars.

[TigerClaws:] You do know poor people go to hospitals now? Free?

So you're saying that nobody has to pay for the poor person's visit to the hospital?

I think he's saying that the poor person doesn't pay for it but does get to visit the hospital - so at most Trump is proposing to shift more of that cost from insurance premium payments to tax payments.

Ok, I see a reduction in loopholes for the wealthy. Not really sure what the issue is with that.

Even Grover Norquist has stopped whining about that, and he was known for attacking every attempt to eliminate a targeted deduction or loophole as a "tax hike," when in fact it was more like eliminating a selective subsidy.

Corporate tax cuts are the way to go. Cutting personal taxes while the debt grows seems like short sighted policy.

So you don't see taking away deductions as raising taxes? Raising taxes is about more than just rates. Loopholes is just a term used by jealous people for a deduction they don't get but someone else does.

Face it, you are a Trumpbot. As long as he says some things you like, you will overlook his history and some of the other things he says he will do.

No, I don’t see it as raising taxes. I see this as making them pay what they are supposed to pay. Because raising taxes technically means the rich won’t end up paying more because the loopholes still exist.

Anyone who tries to defend or promote socialized medicine is NOT a conservative, and is NOT pro-liberty, but is pro-socialism and pro-slavery.

Period.
