I just ran the numbers on my last 5 years income and am all for this. EVEN IF I LOSE EVERY SINGLE DEDUCTION I HAVE USED IN THE PAST. Including the personal deduction. The 50K at zero rate amply compensates for that.
What this plan says without saying it is that 50K is what you should try to earn and keep for your basic needs. The rest is taxed. 10% of the next 50K you earn is your share of what it takes to provide basic services to you. 20% of the next 200K seems a little aggressive but it is probably necessary since so few make more than 300K. The 25% bracket is reasonable to me for high earners. It does not remove my incentive to do better and keep 90 to 75% of what I earn.
And he is going to keep his position papers coming out at a pace that keeps him in front of the people.

The government is the equivalent of the services arm or administrative arm of a company... it produces nothing. It is purely overhead that can allow the rest of the company to produce income and profit.
I’m sure it would be indexed for inflation.
If it is not it is up to the sheeple to change that and they can if they have a leader.

That is all he could come up with. I said, congratulations, you’ve elected bernie sanders just like you did obama instead of romney. If you feel that way about how sinful this country is and that we all have to be punished why don’t you leave?
You don’t have to be of this world but you do have to be in it.
Look, I’m not opposed to a “living” wage, or a minimum wage for beginners and/or for seniors needing extra change. Taxation by sales tax for these in need and on low income is a contribution, perhaps even greater than when you leverage that against what you yourself pay.
Thankfully, Trump gets the picture. Otherwise, these people can not afford to draw a paycheck, so they go on relief. Go figure.
Also, this is just federal tax. These people aren’t exempt from local taxes, property and school taxes, sales tax, etc.
